Coffee shop Jun, located near Kajiwara Station on the Toden tram line. Apparently established in 1965. A J-shaped counter and 7〜8 tables for 2. They also sell cigarettes, and of course you can have coffee inside. 🟨Coffee (450円 including tax) Neither particularly good nor bad. It's something of an oasis for smokers. I don't object to smoking itself, but it is smoky inside. It might be a bit much for people who dislike smoke. Some customers also come just to buy cigarettes rather than have coffee.
View on GoogleA coffee shop in the old downtown area. For smokers, with cigarettes also sold. It seems to have been around for over 60 years. There are lots of enjoyable coffee shops along the Arakawa Line, so I'd recommend it to retro fans.
View on Google2025.12.11 (Thu), first visit for lunch. As you might expect from the rows of packaged cigarettes sold on the counter near the entrance, the place smells strongly of tobacco, and naturally all the customers smoke, so just keep that in mind (…well, there are flags and signs outside with “tobacco” written in large letters, so I doubt you'd enter without knowing). The “curry rice” (850円, large 1000円), with a fried egg perched on top of the rice, looks fantastic! It tastes like ready-to-heat packaged curry (lol). A smoke-filled coffee shop where local smokers gather.
View on GoogleThis is a very popular coffee shop in Kaminakazato, or you could also call it the “Kaminakazato gathering place.” As a foreigner, I lived here for three years. Whenever I went for coffee, if there were other customers, we could strike up a conversation about anything, which made it feel unlike living in Tokyo. Everyone here is very welcoming, and you'll get to know quite a few neighbors. I really enjoy drinking coffee here and chatting with everyone.
View on Google【Points】 ・Closed Sundays 【Impressions】 It was supposed to be closed, but there were customers inside! I asked, “Are you open?” and was told, “We're closed~.” Apparently it's a gathering place for their friends. I didn't push it and left saying I'd come again, but I absolutely loved the languid atmosphere inside! I'll visit soon. /Spring 2021 It's a place for smokers, but when I visited just before closing, I was the only one there, so the smoke didn't bother me. The interior was decorated for Christmas, and they said they'd have to switch to New Year decorations in another week. The cute tulip-like cup was lovely too. /December 2021
