This shop appears to have a nice atmosphere, unfortunately the waitress is rather cold. The food is not bad, but the portions are small and a little on the expensive side.
View on GoogleI visited around 15:00 on Saturday and got in without trouble. I ordered an iced coffee on its own (500 yen). It had just the right bitterness and was delicious. I wanted to order the cake set, but unfortunately it was sold out... I hope I can have cake next time I visit. Apparently both regular cigarettes and electronic cigarettes are allowed. There are few places where you can smoke these days, so smokers will appreciate this shop.
View on GoogleWhen I ordered bolognese, something resembling meat-sauce pasta arrived, which surprised me a little, but it tasted quite good. There was nothing particularly exceptional about the flavor, but I was hungry too, so I polished it off. (It was more substantial than expected, but the pasta's taste and firmness were just right, so I finished everything.) They politely asked, "Would you like Tabasco?" I wondered if saying yes might be rude... but thought I might need it if the flavor did not suit me... so I accepted some just in case, but in the end it was delicious without it. As everyone says, the coffee was delicious! I thought it would probably make delicious coffee jelly too. Again, they asked, "Would you like milk and syrup?" and I accepted them just in case...! But the flavor did not need them. Still, since they had kindly prepared them, I used them in the little coffee remaining, even while thinking it would be a shame to add anything. Some reviews mentioned the female staff member's friendliness... but I had no particular complaints about that. She kept a proper eye on customers (the timing of the after-meal coffee, pouring water for the neighboring table, and so on), and she was not gloomy either, so I wondered whether people saying that were expecting smiling service or conversational skills...? The atmosphere looks lovely from outside, so expecting something special might leave you thinking, huh? But the food was quite good, so I was happy. Thank you for the meal!
View on GoogleA place with a nice atmosphere. I had the hamburger steak with grated daikon for lunch. It came with a mini salad, wakame soup, rice, and a drink. The salad vegetables were fresh. Given the atmosphere, I had imagined a homemade hamburger steak that the proprietor had poured his heart into, but this might have been a commercial catering product. Still, it was larger than expected and tasted quite good, so no complaints. I had hot coffee after the meal. The coffee was delicious, so I left in a good mood.
View on GoogleAn easy place to drop into alone, and one of the places where I relax if I avoid the lunch rush. Meals come with a drink too. You can sense their care about the drinks as well as the food. I always enjoy them. Please stop by when visiting Higashi-Jujo.
