Around halfway between Oji Station and Kaminakazato Station, on Meiji-dori, right near Toden Kajiwara Station, is Hoshiya‼️ I'd been here several times on recommendations from older local friends and acquaintances. This time, I visited for an offline meetup of a local food community, booking the whole place for 15 people 😊✨ A cozy little neighborhood spot, run single-handedly by a Korean omoni ☺️ We discussed the date, time, and menu by phone beforehand, and settled on a completely chef's-choice course at 5000円 per person including all-you-can-drink 😊✨ They don't normally offer courses, but said they could accommodate one if discussed in advance ヾ(°∀° )/ Everyone gathered on time, and we toasted with draft beer 🍻 The dishes started arriving, ■Assortment of 4 namul■ ■Kkakdugi■ ■Nobirou and onion kimchi■ ■Yangnyeom chicken■ all appeared in seconds lol Everything was homemade and delicious, and the nobirou kimchi especially reminded me of what the ajumoni at a cafeteria used to make 🤣🤣🤣 Next, ■Bossam set■ Moist boiled pork, with boiled cabbage, boiled nobirou, and 2 kinds of kimchi, wrapped up and eaten together Ψ( 'ч' ☆) It was a slightly unusual combination, but wow, it tasted great (´∀`)✨ The pork, boiled to remove excess fat, was incredibly delicious 😋 I could eat slice after slice 🤣🤣✨ ■Chijimi■ Next came classic chijimi ✨ Not the thick, pizza-like kind you often see in Shin-Okubo, but chijimi of just the right thinness. It also contained chopped perilla leaves, a really nice accent 🤭 ■Galbijjim■ Bone-in short ribs, chunky vegetables, and heaps of dangmyeon arrived bubbling away ✨ The sweetish sauce kept the drinks flowing lol There was no heat, and the savory flavors melding together were like a combination of sukiyaki and demi-glace, making me want rice lol ■Dakhanmari■ Wow, two hot pots in a row—what a surprise 🤩 I love them, so this was a completely welcome surprise ✨✨✨ Various chicken parts were simmered until fall-apart tender. Instead of a whole 1 bird, it was already cut into individual parts, which really helped with such a large group ✨ Needless to say, it was delicious 😋 Incidentally, everything up to this point had been served in exactly 1 hour 🤣🤣🤣 Omoni is incredible ✨ While cooking, she was also making drinks for 15 people at the same time 🤣🤣🤣 What an iron woman 🤣🤣🤣 After we'd eaten through the ingredients, she added udon ■Kalguksu■ to finish off the meal that day 😊 Thank you so much for your kindness, including extending the all-you-can-drink time a little 😊🙏 Seriously, all this for 5000円 is unbelievable 💦 Every dish really was delicious too 😋 We finished by promising we'd definitely visit again (*^^*) If this were near my home, I'd absolutely be coming all the time ✨ Seriously recommended 🎶 Thank you for the meal‼️ I'll be back‼️‼️‼️
View on GoogleLet's go to a Korean restaurant!” I came at my daughter's invitation. It's a small place, run entirely by the lady owner. “It's not usually like this. Today is busy 💦” she said, but despite rushing around, she prepared everything efficiently. The food was delicious too. I'd like to go again.
View on GoogleIt's been over one month since I moved nearby, and I mostly take the Sakura Arakawa tram elsewhere to eat. Last week I decided to give this place a try. A Korean mother runs it single-handedly, serving authentic Korean food that's very delicious. The owner is warm and welcoming. A volleyball match was playing on the TV, making it very lively. The Korean rice cakes are sweet and spicy, incredibly flavorful. I will be back . ( From Hong Kong)
View on GoogleIt's incredibly delicious 😭😭😭 Please do try the yangnyeom chicken and tteokbokki.
View on GoogleA small Korean restaurant with about 4 tables seating four. The proprietress runs it alone. The Korean-style rolled omelet and cheese dakgalbi are authentic and very delicious. So this is what cheese dakgalbi is really like. The cheese was wonderfully melted and incredibly delicious, but I ate so much I felt uncomfortable—maybe I ordered too much. The large draft beer came in a thoroughly chilled large mug, Japanese-style, and was delicious ♪
