After reading the reviews, I wanted to try the カリーバーガー, so I had one On Engeijo-dori just past Shinohara Engeijo there's a nostalgic coffee shop I stopped by before the evening performance Smoking is allowed throughout! I ordered the hamburger steak set (1200円) and iced coffee (480円) It's nice being able to smoke! They have a wide food menu I'd like to stop by again when seeing a show

A coffee shop distinguished by its retro exterior and Showa-style interior. The green roof and brick-patterned walls create a nostalgic atmosphere. This time I ordered 「ハンバーグステーキ」, 「サラダ」, and 「レモンジュース」. The ハンバーグステーキ came covered in plenty of demi-glace sauce, with a substantial portion and a memorably tender texture. The fluffy skin-on potatoes were delicious too. The サラダ had crisp, fresh vegetables topped with an original mayonnaise-based dressing, making it refreshing and substantial. The レモンジュース had refreshing acidity and just the right restrained sweetness, delicious enough to gulp down. Although smoking is allowed at all seats, the place had an unpretentious simplicity overall, with a nostalgic, comforting feel.

A coffee shop with a good-old-days atmosphere. Allowing smoking also makes it feel like a Showa-era café. It was nostalgic. Once in a while, I can put up with it without much trouble. I wanted to choose something that matched that feeling too, so I went with the Napolitan drink set (1100円 including tax). Napolitan alone costs 900円. They made it after I ordered, so it arrived after a 5〜10-minute wait. It was a light Napolitan with a fairly pale ketchup color. Personally, I would have liked it to be more tomatoey. The taste wasn't bad, but that part was a little disappointing (^^;). It had onion, green pepper, bacon, and so on, with a decent amount of vegetables and meat, making it balanced to eat. The set drink, iced au lait, is unsweetened milk coffee. Even without adding anything, it's milky, so the bitterness doesn't really bother you. Just a little syrup turns it into an easy-to-drink coffee beverage. The manner of the older man and woman at the shop also seemed reminiscent of a Showa-era establishment. Now, what will the カリーバーガー I bought to take home be like? Apparently there's curry both in the patty and in the sauce outside, so its flavor is still an unknown and I'm looking forward to it.

A coffee shop a 5-minute walk from Jujo Station, or 6 minutes from Higashi-Jujo Station. Its appearance has an old-fashioned charm, truly more of a traditional kissaten than a café. Even so, it's fully equipped for cashless payments and Wi-Fi, so it has some surprisingly capable touches. Looking at the menu, there are not only light meals but also set meals, showing how extensive the food selection is. On the other hand, they don't seem to serve sweets such as cakes. Well, they do have sweet drinks like smoothies and cream soda.
