(Updated) The large portion of hiyashi chuka was more than I expected. The noodles' bite was excellent too. 福倉, which had been closed for about a year due to COVID, reopened a while ago. A flavor I crave every now and then; my favorite tsukemen around Shibamata. I felt the soup had gotten a little thinner, but by the second half of eating the balance was perfect. The noodles have their usual chewy springiness; I hope they make it through and don't lose to COVID.
View on GoogleHad the chicken umami soba☆ It looks like a rich chicken paitan, but it was lighter than I expected. The soup has a thick, rich silkiness. For the ramen types, maybe it's thin noodles? The noodles were different from my partner's tsukemen. The portion might be bigger than other shops? The inside is quite narrow, counter only, about 10 seats(?), so I think it's not suitable for groups or families with small children... There's no place for bags, but I was grateful there were hangers.
View on GoogleI got the chicken umami soba with the cartilage tsukune topping (it was recommended)! Great for when you're craving chicken flavor!
View on GoogleIt had been a while since I visited “つけめん。 福倉,” and it truly lived up to expectations. The flat, chewy thick noodles go perfectly with the rich yet exquisitely balanced dipping broth. In particular, you can really taste the chicken umami, and the light aftertaste is welcome. The seared chashu also had extra effort put into it, juicy with its savory aroma brought out. The large portion piled high in the bowl is also a reasonable 700 yen. The tables are a bit cramped, but that makes the atmosphere homey. The mini chashu bowl is a great deal too, and both my stomach and heart were filled. With few rich-style tsukemen shops around here, I'm very satisfied with the quality. A shop I definitely want to visit again!
View on GoogleRight after entering, I bought a meal ticket and had the tsukemen. Counter seats only, and the inside isn't very spacious. The tsukemen was delicious.
