I eat a lot of tantamen and try many different shops to find one i like the best. This one (gold sesame tantan, spice2 numbing 2) had a nice rich and thick broth that had somewhat of a peppery flavor. Sometimes spice levels "2" are very mild, but this one had the perfect amount of spice/numb to me. The noodles are slightly thin for my liking but were delicious and "al dente". It was very good.
View on GoogleGot kingoma tantanmen( dandanmen). Spicy level 1〜6(they will charge +100 for level 6) and Japanese peeper level 1〜6. If you can handle spicy, I suggest go for level 6. My spicy tolerance is pretty high, but I just only ordered for 5. Not that heavy, savory. Next time, might go for level6. Good atmosphere and different from the typical ramen restaurant. Rock and roll BGM was streaming after work hour. Oder is ticket Vending machine style. Good access from Kameari Station, about 5 min walk.

View on GoogleA convincing specialist that stakes everything on tantanmen alone. It is on a shopping street very close to Kameari Station. The menu offers tantanmen with or without broth, with selectable spice and numbing levels. This time I ordered the regular version with broth. The soup was creamy like tonkotsu ramen and delicious from the first sip. The thin noodles bite through cleanly and hold the soup well. The meat miso was deeply flavorful too, adding even more umami when stirred into the soup. It seems you can also add rice to the remaining soup after finishing the noodles and eat it like zosui. The female staff member's service was excellent too, and the tantanmen stayed delicious without becoming tiresome right to the last bite. A restaurant I would definitely recommend when stopping in Kameari.
View on GoogleThe brothless tantanmen uses thick noodles, while the regular golden sesame tantanmen seems to use thin noodles. Good value. The owner looks intimidating but is generous. Beyond that, I guess it is a matter of taste. Even spice level1 is quite spicy.
