Soupless tantanmen + soft-boiled egg topping 80 yen. This shop used to be the popular udon shop Aji. Even though it was my favorite shop, it's now a soupless tantanmen shop. The noodles are just store-bought ones boiled. The order arrives. Before mixing, the oil is bothersome, but after mixing, it's not so much. The minced meat, sauce, and noodles are average. I don't feel any richness or depth, just the numbing sensation from the Sichuan pepper.
View on GoogleI liked Sichuan pepper, but since it was my first time, I ordered the "original flavor". For someone like me who likes spicy food, the spiciness is a bit lacking, so next time I will order the spicy one. Because it's the spiciness of Sichuan pepper, it feels like my tongue is tingling.
View on GoogleThe sensation of a numb tongue is irresistible. I wish there were a bit more variety in the menu. Thank you for the meal.
View on GoogleI went in because I wanted to eat, but even though it was open, there was no one there. I went home in vain. I won't go there again.
View on GoogleA popular soupless tantanmen shop from Hiroshima? Why did it open in Katsushika-ku!? It seems to be a former shop, so the building doesn't feel like a famous shop, and because the turnover is too fast, it seems unlikely there will be a queue, but for those who want to eat quickly or want to feel the numbing sensation, I recommend it. Both the original and new flavors are delicious, but it might be easier to choose if there was an explanation of the flavor differences on the menu board outside. The staff's service was also good, and overall the impression was positive, but the cleanliness was a little bothersome. When mixing, it tends to splash around the counter (it was a pity that the tissue box provided was also splashed, so maybe it would be better to use a plastic case from a 100-yen shop or place it under the counter), if they pay attention to the cleanliness around there, it might be easier for female customers to use. There are also alcohol sprays, acrylic boards, and paper aprons available.
