Not a bit of English spoken other than: "salt?" Haha. But that is expected on a little street stand like this. Four good sized chicken, garlic, and onion skewers, and a red bean bun for only 560 yen. An absolute bargain and extreme delicious with no wait.
View on GoogleI love the bone-in ぼんじり here much more than the small boneless ぼんじり commonly sold elsewhere! Big and plump, and delicious with either salt or sauce ♪ I also bought つくね・ねぎま・レバー, which were tasty, but personally the ぼんじり was so far ahead that everything else felt average lol
View on Googleロッキー An old-fashioned 焼鳥 & たい焼き shop. たこやき 10 pieces 480円 たい焼き 160円 The たい焼き is quite thick and packed with anko ♪ 焼鳥 100円 All the 焼鳥 meat is domestically sourced. Loved by locals, with low prices ♪ Personally, this is a shop I want to support.
View on Google【ロッキー】 • たい焼き 130円 • たこ焼き 450円 『Thick, wonderfully filling たい焼き with a crispy, chewy texture』 A たい焼き・たこ焼き shop in Katsushika, Tokyo. I visited 「ロッキー」, about a 2-minute walk from 堀切菖蒲園! This time I bought たい焼き and たこ焼き. The たい焼き is about 1.5 times the usual thickness, with the dough baked crisp on the outside and a chewy, satisfying texture. Inside, it’s generously filled with つぶあん with a rich sweetness. Delicious! For this much food at this price, the value is outstanding, too! The たこ焼き was premade and slightly warm, with a little sauce and aonori on top. The batter contains octopus and beni shoga, but I could barely taste the sauce. Considering how good the たい焼き was, it was disappointing.
View on GoogleI was craving 焼き鳥, so I came alone on Saturday around 14:30. I bought 1 salt-seasoned skewer each of ボンジリ, レバー, and タン, plus 1 たい焼き (400円 total). All the 焼き鳥 was fantastic. Each piece of ボンジリ was large, with chicken bones mixed in. I like it that way. The レバー was eye-poppingly delicious! Next time I want to devour about 10 skewers! The タン was overcooked, bitter, and had no discernible flavor, but the texture was fantastic, so I might try it again. The shop staff were friendly, and there was a line. But the well-reviewed 「たい焼き」 was terribly disappointing. The edges were burnt, and my first impression was 「Bitter!」. It canceled out the sweetness of the anko.... Overall, I want to go again! But I probably won’t get the たい焼き again...
