You know you're in the right spot in Japan when you enter a random restaurant, the owners speak no English and a bunch of people are there. Good food, cheap price.

I had the half-portion fried rice and ramen set. The fried rice was quite salty but delicious. The ramen's thin noodles were tangled, making them a little difficult to eat. It was my first time seeing fried rice served with the spoon stuck into the middle😂

A neighborhood Chinese restaurant near 柴又駅 on the 京成金町線. 2024.11.4 (Monday), just after 12:00, my first visit for lunch while exploring 柴又. I ordered several dishes, including “五目焼きそば,” Chinese noodles browned on both sides and topped with a thick sauce full of ingredients, and “特製ギョーザ,” boiled dumplings with a special sauce. Overall, it felt oily and strongly flavored, but that also stimulated my appetite, and I personally liked it. Despite being small and cramped, it seemed popular. While I was eating, customers kept coming, peeking inside, and leaving after seeing it was full. A thriving place.

Ramen, 3 gyoza, and rice for 850円 was very reasonable, and the simple soy sauce ramen, gyoza, and white rice paired exceptionally well and were delicious. The ネギらーめん had plenty of green onions. The noodles were on the soft side but still satisfying to eat. It seems to be run by a married couple, with the wife handling the dining area. They were personable, and I enjoyed a pleasant meal. Payment is cash only.

It's the sort of Chinese restaurant you'd find in an old downtown neighborhood. The proprietress's service is truly wonderful, and the food is exceptionally delicious! Classics such as fried rice, stir-fried vegetables, and stir-fried liver with garlic chives are outstanding. For ramen, I recommend ネギラーメン (slightly spicy). Others have already posted plenty of photos of fried rice and other dishes, so I'll post the tonkatsu, limited to 10 servings on Friday evenings. This was every bit as delicious as a specialist tonkatsu restaurant's! Today, タンメン with half a portion of fried rice. The lunchtime clientele on days off differs from usual, with noticeably more people from outside the neighborhood. It's quite often full, so getting in can be difficult... Today my timing was good, with just 1 seat available, and I was able to eat. Their stir-fried vegetables are delicious, so there's no way the タンメン wouldn't be. It has lots of vegetables and makes you quite full. Today's lunch is stir-fried egg and garlic chives, unbeatable value! The taste is superb!
