Is a community-rooted neighborhood Chinese restaurant about a 1-minute walk from 堀切菖蒲園 Station in Katsushika, Tokyo. Since its founding in 1928, it has shared in the town’s daily life for many years and will reach its 100-year milestone in 3 years. The fourth-generation owner now works in the kitchen, preparing food each day while cherishing the inherited flavors and philosophy. The interior has a calm atmosphere reminiscent of the Showa era, making it approachable even for first-time visitors. The cooking centers on the familiar appeal of an old-fashioned neighborhood Chinese restaurant while keeping flavors suited to contemporary dining. Among the dishes, the 担々麺…

⭐️担々麺 full of gentleness, loved in 堀切菖蒲園 ✨✨ ✨ Hello✨ Thank you as always for reading. ^_^✨ This time I visited the Chinese restaurant 『三河屋』 near 堀切菖蒲園 Station in Tokyo. ✨A community-rooted place with a somewhat nostalgic feel✨ I had their specialty 担々麺.✨ The first sip revealed a balance of mellow sesame richness and gentle heat. It isn’t all about fiery stimulation; the savory flavor really comes through, making a broth you want to drink to the last drop.✨ The noodles hold the broth well, and the savory 肉味噌 blends in just enough, bringing everything together beautifully. A bowl that feels “carefully made” rather than flashy.✨ Most memorable of all is the care the proprietress puts into making it. ^_^/✨ Her personality seems to come through directly in the flavor, and the warm atmosphere soothes the heart as well.✨ Nothing gimmicky, just reliably delicious. This 担々麺 made it easy to understand why the place has been loved locally for so long. ^_^/✨ Thank you for the meal🙏

A long-established Chinese restaurant near 堀切菖蒲園 Station. I had their specialty 担々麺. The creamy broth, rich in sesame aroma, combines the savory flavor of 肉味噌 with just the right heat, making a very well-balanced bowl. The spice level is adjustable, so even people who dislike spicy food should be able to enjoy it. It’s close to the station and convenient, so I’d like to visit again. 🍜✨

A neighborhood Chinese restaurant in 堀切 with a traditional working-class feel. It’s a homey, old-fashioned place with counter seats, tables, and a raised tatami seating area. This time I had the owner’s top recommendation, 「担々麺」. The kind owner checks your preferred spice level, and it’s nice that they adjust it to a flavor you can comfortably enjoy. The broth has a sesame-miso base, with heat from chili oil and sansho mellowed nicely by savory ground meat, bok choy, and onions, giving it a mild flavor. The wide, curly noodles hold the broth well, are satisfyingly filling, and let you fully enjoy the heat and savoriness. There’s a wide range of Chinese dishes beyond noodles, so it’s also a place to enjoy beer with Chinese food as snacks.

【The neighborhood Chinese restaurant where 茜ちゃん drank several times on 「町中華で飲ろうぜ」】This shop has appeared repeatedly on the show and is famous for its dark チャーハン. This time I entered around 19:00 on Saturday with no wait. The spacious, slightly dim interior retains a strong Showa-era feel, mainly with tatami and table seating. A retro コカ・カーラ vending machine also stands there. Although they have menu books, the QR ordering system feels very contemporary (haha). Today’s 「drinking snacks」 were... ◯ネギチャーシュー Light on salt, with sesame oil and chili oil going full force yet not overwhelming—a great drinking snack. ◯焼餃子(5 pieces) The sweet-savory filling comes with a special dipping sauce combining soy sauce, chili oil, sesame oil, vinegar, and other ingredients to boost the Chinese flavors. ◯味噌ラーメン An easy-to-enjoy, gentle flavor with a subtle miso note and a clear sense of a neighborhood Chinese restaurant’s lifeblood (ramen broth). The slightly rich texture of the broth is nice, and the medium-thick noodles are cooked well and go down easily. ◯チャーハン Savory>sweet flavors lead, with little sharp saltiness and a mellow taste. The texture is midway between fluffy and moist. Despite the savory-sweet profile, its toasted aroma stands out, and the salt balance is exquisite. It isn’t a drinking-snack style; it tastes lighter and gentler than its dark appearance suggests. The darkness isn’t from strongly colored sauce, but from something that draws out gentle savoriness (XO sauce, perhaps?) (haha). I think that gentle flavor, so different from its appearance, is what makes it excellent. Simple ingredients of scallions, egg, and チャーシュ, with the チャーシュ providing a particularly nice accent. The tasty fattiness also enhances the チャーハン. The ウーロンハイ is mild, and bottled beer is available. The warm smiles of the owner, proprietress, and their son made this feel like a neighborhood Chinese restaurant where you can travel back to the Showa era. Everyone, do give it a try😋b-

I visited for lunch, but it turned into a very disappointing experience. I’d heard beforehand that the service wasn’t particularly good, so that was within expectations, but what surprised me was how they treated a delivery courier. Surely there’s no need to treat someone so dismissively… Seeing them fail to treat the courier as an equal partner left me with very mixed feelings before the meal. Even more disappointing was the television coverage. Without any advance announcement or notices inside, television staff suddenly arrived and unexpectedly approached us, showing no consideration at all. It wasn’t an environment where I could eat calmly, and I felt so uncomfortable that I couldn’t appreciate the food at all. If media filming is taking place, isn’t the minimum courtesy to explain it when customers enter or post a notice out front? Payment was disappointing, too. There were stickers for various cashless payment methods out front, but the staff didn’t understand the system, so I ended up having to pay cash. If they advertise these methods as available, I think they should at least have the basic procedures in place. Overall, the treatment repeatedly made me feel that customers were disregarded, and the lunch left a very unpleasant aftertaste. I won’t return. Truly sad.
