The food was very awesome:)
View on GoogleKanamachi isn't all that well known, but lately the competition has been seriously fierce. You're spoiled for choice, with light-broth places, Iekei, kombu-water tsukemen, and all sorts of others. Among them, Shinko, which used to be in Kashiwa, had moved to Kanamachi, and I'd been curious. I think the owner came from Takanome, if I remember right. It was late at night, and there was a fair-sized queue outside. They have ramen, shirunashi, and even an unusual Western-style Jiro-style option called Tomatina. I'd tried that back in Kashiwa, so I chose the shirunashi I'd been curious about. The staff are polite, too… actually, service at Jiro-style places has really improved lately, hasn't it? All right, time for the shirunashi. It's a straightforward Jiro-style shirunashi, but delicious noodles really are essential. Strong seasoning with mayo, bonito flakes, spicy tempura crumbs, and garlic—you can't go wrong. But a solid savory flavor from the sauce and pork matters, too. I also ordered a raw egg and curry powder and enjoyed the ultimate junk-food indulgence. A very well-balanced bowl with plenty of impact. Maybe it's time to go back for Tomatina again after so long.
View on GoogleWhile talking about Jiro with a coworker on my way home, I suddenly really wanted some Jiro-style ramen, so I made my first visit to this place I'd been curious about for a while. It's about 7.8 minutes from Kanamachi Station, I suppose. It faces a main road. The system here is to buy a meal ticket first, then get called by number. Since it was my first visit, I was going to get the mini, 200 grams for 980円, but the small ramen, 350 grams for 1,000円, was only 20円 more, so I ended up tapping the small button. The bowl arrived after about 7.8 minutes. For the topping call, I asked for garlic and fat. It looks Jiro-style, but 1 slice of naruto makes it cute. The vegetables are very soft, just how I like them. The chashu has an incredible presence. Big and thick—a double impact. The seasoning was mild. Some reviews described the noodles as Fujimaru-style, but they're thick, flat noodles with a rather smooth surface, reminding me of udon or pasta. Personally, I think I prefer rough-textured noodles like Fujimaru's. The broth is non-emulsified, but it's clear for Jiro-style ramen, with a color like ordinary shoyu ramen. The soy sauce is distinct and assertive. I found it a little salty, but I think people who like it will like it. I'll visit again if I have the chance
View on GoogleMazesoba (large) with butatama was 1500円. The large has 450g of noodles and already comes with one chunk of pork, but I wanted an egg, so the promise of saving 30円 tempted me into ordering butatama, a set of one piece of pork and a smoked egg. The lean part of the pork had just the right amount of fat rendered out, and it wasn't very salty, so it was easier to eat than expected. For the free toppings, I chose fat, garlic, gari mayo, and bonito flakes. The large portion is too big to mix at first, so I enjoyed it while gradually combining it with the toppings. At the end, some broth—or rather sauce—remained, but they don't have rice, so all I could do was imagine, “It would be delicious if I dumped some white rice in here⋯” Maybe I'll try the regular ramen next time.
View on GoogleIt was super delicious. 200g of noodles, garlic and fat The vegetables were quite soft. Maybe I could have asked for extra. The pork is insanely huge. But it was quite salty, so honestly the second piece was a struggle. The smoked seasoned egg is delicious too, but the ramen's flavor is so strong that I didn't feel it went particularly well. Thank you for the meal.
