This is a typical jiro-style ramen joint. One thing that is a little unique is that you can order either thin or thick noodles with no price change. Their standard bowl of ramen (which DOESN'T come with the typical massive portion size, for those of you who like jiro flavor but get full quickly) is around ¥750, which is an absolute steal. I expect that the college down the street has something to do with that. Overall, a great place to come if you love jiro flavors but can't handle the typical portion sizes.

Jiro style ramen, be prepared to eat a lot. If you like pork fat this Ramen is for you.

The original Jiro-inspired ramen in Kanamachi. I visited just after 12:00 on a holiday. It was a relaxed atmosphere with only one customer before me, but Uber delivery drivers were constantly coming and going. I wonder if there is high demand for takeout? I ordered "Ramen" at the ticket machine. It's 850 yen. I'm happy that you can increase the noodle portion up to 300g for free. But I didn't notice and bought a large portion ticket for 100 yen... As a result, the noodle portion became 400g. I'll do my best. Since the call is made when submitting the ticket, I asked for a little extra "vegetables, garlic, fat" for each. About 5 minutes later, it was served. The characteristic of the soup here is that it has a strong sweetness. The mellow seasoning with the sharp edges of soy sauce removed goes well with the noodles coated in fat and is delicious. The noodles are flat, thick noodles. Because they are boiled to be firm, I can enjoy the chewy texture. Although the noodle portion is 400g, I didn't struggle that much, so maybe that's the weight before boiling? As a result, this amount was the right choice. And what's wonderful about this shop is the volume of the toppings. The vegetables, with a little extra, are piled up to 15cm high. Furthermore, the pork is the size of a child's fist. It was a shame that the lean part was fibrous and not to my taste, but given the recent price hikes, this volume at a 3-digit price is amazing. It can be named as one of the best value Jiro-style shops.

Postscript March 24th Lunch. I used to go there occasionally because the staff was good and the roast pork was delicious, but I was surprised by the drastic change a few days ago‼️ 1. Price increased to 930 yen. This is unavoidable. 2. That roast pork which was tender and a chunk of meat has turned into thin, small, and dry roast pork‼️ I don't understand why an extra serving of roast pork consists of 3 thin, small, and dry pieces! It's completely different from the previous roast pork‼️ Too disgusting‼️ 3. At this time there were 2 female staff members, the ramen portion was also abnormally small, cold, and out of the question‼️ 4. The store smelled so bad I felt like vomiting, and the ramen was also bad so I left halfway through‼️ I don't remember ever eating such a disgusting ramen‼️ These 2 female staff members, something is wrong‼️ Around 8 pm on October 23rd? I entered. Since I usually eat 'zen-mashi' at a Jiro-style place in the neighborhood, I thought it would be fine so I ordered a large portion of noodles, but it was more than I imagined. However, I tried my best because I shouldn't leave food, but I felt sick halfway through. When I told the guy "I'm sorry I left some!", he smiled and said "It's okay, please come again!", he was a very kind guy! The ramen was delicious! Especially the roast pork was chunky, big, well-seasoned, tender, and super delicious! Next time I might order a small portion of noodles and add roast pork.

I visited after a long time. Since I left a lot of noodles last time I ordered the regular portion, this time I ordered the thick noodle tsukemen with a small portion, with free toppings of a little garlic, extra vegetables and fat, extra karame seasoning, and onions❗️ After a while, it came out. The taste is soy sauce-based and lighter than other Jiro-style shops, and the roast pork is also a satisfyingly large chunk😁 No matter how much I eat, the tower of vegetables is so huge that it's hard to reach the noodles...😅 Finally, with a little effort, I managed to finish it deliciously. Thank you for the meal. One request that might be impossible, it would be even better if there was vinegar for changing the taste to prevent getting tired of it at the end.
