I visited 彩波, which has long been loved by locals in Shin-Koiwa. It's a little far from the station, but whenever I go it's lively, and you can tell it's become a place for people in the area to relax. The cozy atmosphere that makes you want to linger is also part of its charm. The menu is very extensive, ranging from hearty dishes for when you want to eat a lot to light snacks that go well with drinks. I've tried a variety of things so far, and everything has been consistently delicious; whatever you order, you'll be satisfied. What I especially want to recommend is the garlic fried rice. The fragrant garlic flavor stimulates your appetite, and after one bite it was so good I couldn't stop eating. However, the garlic dishes are quite strong, so you might want to be a little careful about your plans for the next day. It's a place in Shin-Koiwa that combines delicious food with a comfortable atmosphere, and makes you want to come back again and again. I'd like to visit again to enjoy a relaxed meal with friends.
View on GoogleAn izakaya in a shopping street about 10 minutes' walk from Shin-Koiwa Station. I ordered chuhai, spinach and bacon, mushroom salad, grilled chicken, yakiton chire and shiro, yakitori sasami, sea urchin spaghetti, and so on, and everything was good value with flawless seasoning. The service was pleasant too, and it seems like a place with many regulars.
View on GoogleI'd heard it was delicious, so I visited for the first time on a weekend. Overall, the flavors were either too strong or too bland. The only things that were just right were the otoshi, the gyutoro don, and the ankimo. The seasoning seems like it would only be OK if you eat it after drinking three or more drinks and you're tipsy. The Japanese-style gratin of ground meat and yam was really strongly flavored, and even with drinks in me I couldn't finish it all. The sea urchin pasta also felt like "where's the uni?" and was poor value. The potato anchovy garlic had way too much salt on it…, ,,. The skewers were very generous in volume, but the salt ami liver skewer was bland…. It's salty, so it makes you thirsty. Even after getting home I kept drinking water for a while. For this quality, the prices felt high. And like other reviews say, the inside goes beyond lively to just noisy. So noisy I couldn't talk with my companion. In the ozashiki seating, even calling the staff is a struggle. I ordered the horse and chicken sashimi 4-piece platter, which I'd been looking forward to, as my first order, but it never came out until the bill, ,, By the way, only the dipping sauce came out right away. Never got used…. When I told a male staff member the basashi hadn't come, he made a slightly annoyed face. The young female staff member was friendly and handled things well. Unfortunately I won't be coming back. .. Overall, I wish they would taste the food.
View on GoogleA local izakaya bustling with neighborhood customers. A bit intimidating for first-timers, and likely to divide opinion. ・An izakaya located a short walk from Shin-Koiwa Station ・Gives the impression of being lively even on weekday nights, mainly with regulars ・Rather than homey, it has a local atmosphere with a bit of an insider feel ・As a first-time customer, you feel a little out of place, and it's a space where opinions on comfort will likely be divided ・The lineup of food and drinks served is relatively standard ・The speed from ordering to serving and the staff's service are average ・For better or worse, it's a community-rooted place for people who like lively spaces ・One option if you want to drop in for a casual drink in the area
View on GoogleA place where you can eat delicious chicken sashimi They also have plenty of skewers and side dishes. Everything I ordered was delicious. The back ozashiki room has roomy seating so you can enjoy your meal in a relaxed way. It's a bit of a walk from the station, but if you think of it as exercise before eating, it's no problem.
