Owner knew enough English and made the best of it. He served us many small meals which were all very good. Very kind.

A legendary shop in Ohanajaya, Hisamatsu Sushi. If judged solely by the taste of the sushi, this shop has the ability that is in no way inferior to the legendary shops in Ginza, and is one of the valuable shops in the downtown area that must not disappear. The chef not only has skills as a sushi craftsman, but also deep knowledge of wine, sake, and shochu, and one of the major attractions is that he offers suggestions tailored to the ingredients of the day and the customers. Also, when he is free, he sometimes serves side dishes that go well with wine, and a way of enjoying it that is "not like a sushi restaurant" in a good sense is unique to this shop. The time spent thinking about the combination of food and drinks feels very luxurious. Because the chef had poor health a few years ago, he is currently operating without overdoing it, but because of that, the meticulous work put into each piece of sushi and each plate is felt even more. It is not a shop that does flashy promotions, but for those who want to enjoy truly delicious sushi and drinks, this is a legendary shop that you should definitely visit at least once. I would be in trouble if it became difficult to get a reservation, but it is actually a shop that deserves more appreciation.

If you request a budget or what you want to eat in advance, they will arrange various things. For drinks, there are various options from beer to sake and wine, and they provided drinks that matched the food. The owner's attention to detail is meticulous, and I had a fun time with my friends. Next time I want to bring my family to eat here.
