Heard a lot about this place by locals, however the staff service was slow, and the meat was average. I had asked for a medium rare 400G steak, yet I got two thinly sliced rare meat. Apache is okay if you’re looking for average steak and slow service.

It was my first visit, and just as other reviews said, it didn't feel heavy at all and I polished it off! I felt the thickness of the meat had been adjusted so it coated easily with sauce and stayed delicious to the last bite. As you get older, steak itself can feel heavy, and I often get tired of the sauce midway and change the flavor. But the restaurant's recommended combination of butter＋garlic＋soy sauce was so addictively delicious that I wanted to keep eating forever. It really was a treat-yourself steak. The prices and service were wonderful too.

Steaks of 400g or more come with a complimentary drink, so I gave in to the temptation and increased the weight. From the complimentary options, I got body-fat-reducing oolong tea for free. (In a big mug, too.) Served in about 10 minutes. The lean meat had no unpleasant smell or dryness, so it went down easily without feeling heavy. The initial seasoning was just right, so it was delicious even with nothing added. It tasted good with salt, and steak sauce made it even better. Adding shiso brought a refreshing lightness, making it feel as though all those worrisome calories had vanished, and the guilt I hadn't had to begin with disappeared even further. There was also a generous amount of corn beneath the steak, which was very welcome. There really was plenty, and that made me quite happy.
