There were all sorts of decorations. Apparently the owner's eldest son is a fan of Giants player 坂本勇人, and the nostalgic singer 新沼謙治 is an acquaintance of the owner. American pop and J-POP were playing~. The girls serving the dining area were lovely and made a good impression. I was shown to a counter seat at the back. The tall counter chair wobbled, which made it a little hard to relax. I thought this was a back-fat-sprinkled ramen place, but they had various flavors of ramen, rice bowls, drinking snacks, and more. You order by ticking this order sheet with a marker. ■つけ麺(勇人) 980円 ※Tsukemen comes in 3 flavors: 勇人, seafood, and spicy miso. The 4 toppings on a separate plate arrived first. Lightly seared rolled char siu. Half a seasoned egg. Seasoned menma and thickly sliced green onions. The dipping broth came in a pot, bubbling away. The aroma of pork-bone stock wafted up~. Back fat covered the surface, with a sharply prominent soy-sauce acidity. A mellow pork-bone flavor, a thin consistency, and fairly strong saltiness. It is piping hot, so be careful with your first spoonful. Inside were green onions and char siu cut into 4 pieces. Glossy, slippery, wonderfully chewy thick noodles. I chose them cooked firm, so they had a substantial bite. They were flavorful, delicious noodles. I dipped them into the piping-hot broth and ate slowly and carefully to avoid burns. Partway through, I added bottled yuzu vinegar to change the flavor. I added a little too much, and it became sour…. They brought broth for diluting the dipping soup, but I did not use it. I just slurped up the generous amount of dipping broth as it was. It was delicious tsukemen with quite a punch. If I get the chance, next time I will try 勇人ラーメン.

Lunch at “麺's BAR らーめん 勇人” in 西台. This was my first visit since they moved in front of the station. Since it is baseball-themed, could the name come from that player on the Giants?? You order by filling out the “らーめんオーダー表” provided at the table and handing it to the staff. Basically, as with Iekei ramen, you check options such as <noodle firmness・flavor intensity・back fat>, but apparently you can also specify noodle thickness. This time I had 「裏勇人らーめん 950円」. The broth combined pork bones and seafood and was super rich. With back fat added, it was a powerful soup. I ordered thick noodles cooked firm. The broth did not cling much to the thick noodles, but it was so powerful that the balance felt just right. The distinctive texture of the thick noodles and wheat flavor came through, and it was incredibly tasty. Thanks for the meal! *For some reason, they were promoting 新沼謙治. Is there some connection?

A neat ramen shop near 西台 Station! There is professional baseball merchandise in the decor, but even people unfamiliar with baseball can come in like any ordinary ramen shop. (Note) Last orders on weekday evenings were at 21時半. The shop is beneath the elevated railway, roughly halfway between 西台 Station's east and west exits. The area beneath the tracks has been cleaned up through redevelopment, and this shop is clean too. The lighting is fairly bright. The interior has a wood-grain finish. Cheerful JPOP plays, and I think the atmosphere makes it easy for women to visit alone. I came on a rainy weekday evening this time, so there were only a few customers. There were tables and counter seats, so I think groups can visit too. You look at the menu at your seat and fill out an order sheet. They had everything from oily ramen that seemed like Iekei? to mazesoba, Taiwan mazesoba, and tsukemen. There were limited-time dishes too, but I forgot to photograph them. You can specify noodle firmness, flavor intensity, and the amount of back fat on the order sheet, which seems to prevent mistakes and makes ordering to your taste easy. They also had alcoholic drinks, so it looks suitable for a casual evening drink. Baseball merchandise and signed balls are displayed inside, which professional baseball fans would probably enjoy. Does 「勇人」 refer to Giants player 坂本勇人? I ordered 「がつまぜそば」 and was surprised that the portion was bigger than in the menu photo. With bean sprouts on top, I first turned it over and lifted out the noodles coated with broth from underneath. The sweetness of the crunchy bean sprouts goes well with the strongly flavored broth! It was substantial, but delicious right to the end. The set also came with soup, which was a little underwhelming, but a light sprinkle of pepper made it just right. At your seat there are chili oil, pepper, vinegar, sesame seeds, soy sauce, and garlic, so you can adjust the flavor as needed. Mazesoba also comes with mayonnaise. For extra noodles, it seems you can even choose the noodle type. With the menu variety, preference adjustments, choice of noodles, and table seasonings, I think this shop can accommodate just about any taste. I think it is a valuable place in the 西台 Station area where you can eat until 21時半. Hoping it stays around for a long time, I give it 5 stars

This shop is about a 3-minute walk from 西台 Station The interior is reasonably spacious, and perhaps it is family-run because you constantly hear conversation ☺️ The taste is decent, and the service is decent too ⭐️
