One of my favorite Italian restaurant specialized in local and wild game meat cuisine with the owner’s special selection of wines.
View on Google【Cheap and plentiful, gibier cuisine is exquisite from procurement to cooking! Is it really a one-man operation!?】 'La Famiglia' opened in 2012 near the Shakujii River in Itabashi Nakajuku. Selected as a Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2014 and 2015, an honor rarely found in Itabashi. Owner-chef Nobuyuki Sato obtained a nutritionist qualification and worked in that field, but then decided to jump into the culinary world. To further hone his skills, he went to Italy at the age of 29 and trained for about 1.5 years in Tuscany and Sicily. After returning to Japan, he honed his skills at famous restaurants in Ginza and Hiroo and hotels, and opened a shop in Nakajuku in 2012. The wine list is also very particular, with about 50 types, and there are many wines not on the menu. Unlike the Northern Italian style of roasting with plenty of butter and red wine, Tuscan style is good at herbs and grilling, such as wild boar ragu, venison steak, etc. Sicilian style uses plenty of spices, and pigeon dishes are a specialty. It is an "izakaya cuisine to enjoy wine without being pretentious", and glass wine and reasonable snacks (small plates) are also substantial. Moreover, the small plate snacks are voluminous!! It feels like, "For this price!?". It is said that if you order a bottle of wine, a secret menu will come out. Owner one-man operation. However, the nimble movements that don't make you feel that, chef and sommelier and waiter, the ultimate one-man management! Amazing! ◼︎ Appetizer: Consommé soup of deer and wild boar broth Prosciutto Jamon Serrano, 12 months aged Broccoli Alio Olio, 400 yen Sautéed spring cabbage and sakura shrimp with anchovy flavor, 1,100 yen Various mushrooms with hot oil, 400 yen Set of Honshu deer and Ezo deer comparison, 3,600 yen 1,100 yen Wine: Lambrusco, orange wine, red, white (France, Italy), etc. Carbonated water Surgiva Appetizer soup. The natural taste of gibier is firmly felt, making it a rich soup. Addictive taste. Delicious. Jamon Serrano is sliced thinly with a carving machine. Saltiness and aging feel like cheese. Broccoli is also peperoncino flavor, truly Italian. Spring cabbage and sakura shrimp are also elegant with spring ingredients and sea flavor♩ This makes the alcohol go down. Mushrooms with oil.. Isn't this a mountain!? Amazing, this is 400 yen.. too cheap! Gibier is hit or miss. But the curiosity to try it is huge! W I went for deer! Gibier takes time, so as warned, I waited 40 minutes. I should have ordered it first. Deer is beautiful red meat! Excellent heat control! And Ezo deer, It is said that the individual is large. I imagine a magnificent deer running through the eternal forest! As imagined, muscular red meat. Light taste and texture. Venison has no smell at all. It seems that stewing would be better to utilize the meat quality. Honshu deer, Soft! With moderate fat, the texture is soft in the mouth, Like eating high-quality pork. This is delicious! And, I praised it! Processing after capture must be accurate and quick, and storage and logistics must be through reliable routes. I didn't expect to be able to get this quality!! I should have ordered bear too--- I didn't expect such delicious Italian food in Itabashi.. Thank you for the meal (≧д≦)ゝ!
View on GoogleI visited after a long time. Appetizers, pasta, meat dishes using gibier, fish, etc., were all delicious and I enjoyed them while drinking wine.
View on GoogleNovember 2024 Italian restaurant with delicious gibier cuisine. Actually, this is a restaurant that has been listed in the Michelin Bib Gourmand for 2 consecutive years. I had the impression that this restaurant rarely opens for lunch, but since I happened to pass by when it was open, I visited for lunch. Porcini pasta was too thick. A taste that requires alcohol! Because it was lunch, I couldn't drink. Anyway, the portions are large. The noodles were also a lot, I could only eat about half.
View on GoogleEvery year, my husband and I go about 1-2 times a year. We always ask for 3 types of wine, listen to the explanation, and then choose. I really like the red wine sauce of the deer, once you taste it here, it becomes addictive. The truffle omelet I ate in the past was also so shocking that I can't forget it.
