Kirin in Shimo-Akatsuka is a 'talented local shop' that is unpretentious but strangely comfortable. The appearance is modest, but once you step inside, there is an atmosphere, and it makes sense that there are many regular customers. The shop has calm lighting and is moderately lively. The food is much more delicious than it looks, the type that makes you think 'Eh, this is good...'. Especially the menu composition is good, so you end up wanting to order this and that. The staff's service is also moderately frank, and a pleasant point is that there is an atmosphere that is easy to enter even for the first time. There is also alcohol, so it's just right to drop by on the way home from work. Not flashy but addictive, it feels like 'a shop I want in my neighborhood'. If you are lost in Shimo-Akatsuka, Kirin is usually okay. Recommended for a night when you want to drink casually.
View on GoogleCleanliness that betrays imagination. I didn't expect much from the appearance, but although the building and interior are old, the shop is well-cleaned and very clean. The food is also quite delicious. The taste is not too strong, not too spicy, an exquisite seasoning that makes you want to eat it every day. For example, the fried rice in mapo tofu fried rice is light, but it is adjusted to just the right taste when combined with mapo tofu.
View on Google2025.04.09 (Wed) I was lost for lunch and since the rating was high, I went. The recommendation was 'Mapo Tofu Set ¥880'. 'Mapo Tofu Bowl ¥850' was cheaper so I ordered that. Unlike before, it was a curry-type serving. It's not as spicy as I thought, so it's easy to eat, but the taste felt ordinary. I didn't order the set, but I think it's good that rice can be refilled for free if you order the set.
View on GoogleI ordered the lunch set of tantan cut noodles and mini fried rice. Payment of 1080 yen can use paypay. The fried rice is ordinary. Maybe I didn't need to order it. The tantan cut noodles were delicious. The seasoning is orthodox. The spiciness and numbness are little. The noodles are thick, wavy, and chewy. Personally, I like it very much. Thank you for the meal.
View on GoogleVery close to Shimo-Akatsuka Station. A safe location right next to the police box. Although tenants change frequently, this Chinese shop has lasted for 3 years. The staff are probably a Chinese couple, and Chinese customers also come, so Chinese language flies around the shop. The 'Otsukaresama' set 1100 yen is good because you can choose various things. I chose draft beer, grilled gyoza for the appetizer, and sweet and sour pork for the main dish. The gyoza was ordinary but there were 5 pieces, and the black vinegar sweet and sour pork was not greasy and authentic and delicious. This is favorable. In addition, there is a wide selection of cut noodles made by Chinese people, so it's good once in a while. The wife in charge of customer service at least understands Japanese, so it's semi-magical Chinese. There were many Uber orders. Payment methods can use PayPay and Rakuten Pay. I will stop by again if I have a chance. Thank you for the meal.
