We loved the experience, starting with the neighborhood—low-key and charming. The building itself, with its Brancusi-inspired columns and full mid-century vibes, was wonderful, as were the local kissaten pilgrims—who we found waiting patiently in a queue outside, despite the rain. Once inside, Pinocchio and the couple who run it lived up to our expectations. It was everything you hope for from a 52-year-old local kissaten: wood-paneled, full of authentic kitsch ornaments, with great coffee and lunch. We shared the Napolitan and an egg-ham toasted sandwich, along with the house blend coffee. The blend was mild and nutty—not too dark—and of the two dishes, my favorite was the sandwich; it tasted just the right amount of buttery—somehow light and perfectly satisfying. The Napolitan was exactly what my husband wanted: classic sweet sauce with slices of wiener sausage. It was nice enough, but not really my thing.

We (a family of 4) travelled one hour to come to this popular place searched online. We were very happy that we could make it. The place is very cozy , sitting in the residential area. Food was amazingly good, we ordered ham and cheese, pancakes and butter toast. The owners were friendly and happy to hear that we are from Singapore. Thumbs up for their quality food!

Excellent fluffy pancakes, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The sandwich itself was grilled well outside and the cucumber, mayo, ham, and egg combination makes a delightful flavor profile. A bit long on the wait but staff keep you well informed beforehand.

We traveled specially to try the pancakes and it didn’t fail us. The owner was friendly to allow me to take pictures of him making the pancakes. He can converse some English too👍🏻 It is a retro vibe cafe!

The best place for breakfast in Tokyo! Everything we tried—sandwiches, pancakes, and coffee—was incredibly delicious. The service is exceptional; the staff are super attentive and friendly. The place is very cozy and spotlessly clean. Highly recommended!
