Since it was called 「香港屋」, I went in expecting to eat Hong Kong cuisine, but they actually had none of the Hong Kong dishes I wanted, and a staff member told me, “We don't serve Hong Kong cuisine.” I felt a little misled by the name and, honestly, somewhat disappointed…. Especially after coming all that way.
View on GoogleI bought a bento. I forgot which kind, but 680円 was a pleasant surprise! A nicely balanced selection, and the shrimp in chili sauce was delicious! The fish was delicious too!! A great-value bento〜
View on GoogleI was craving yakitori from あかのれん, so I went back for a meal for the first time in ages! It's a 2-minute walk from Itabashi-kuyakushomae, just a little way up the Nakajuku shopping street! It's been there since I was in elementary school, so I think it's an old place that's been operating for at least 20 years! There are 3 seating options: sunken kotatsu seating, tables, and a counter. This time I wanted to watch the Asian Cup, so I chose the sunken kotatsu seating! Their specialties are yakitori and fresh sashimi, which customers seem to order a lot, but my recommendation is the croquettes! If you visit, definitely give them a try!
View on GoogleIt's in my neighborhood and I'd known about it, but this was my first visit. I wished I'd come sooner! I appreciated the staff's thoughtfulness, and everything was delicious despite the reasonable prices. I'd like to come back for a casual drink.
View on GoogleTheir lunchtime bentos are delicious. They contain a wide variety of side dishes and are carefully prepared. The prices are reasonable too.
