I had their signature lettuce hot pot✨ Very filling. It has a gentle yet simple taste. I thought they only served Japanese food, but they also have Western dishes.
View on GoogleThey said they reached their 10th year in June 2023. Since it's always full every time I go, I made a reservation. There are no private rooms and it's open, so you can hear conversations from other tables. Even when it's crowded, food and drinks are served without making you feel like you're waiting. There are many types of drinks, but the variety of sake is particularly rich and good. They change the sake cup (ochoko) every time, so you can enjoy the sake with peace of mind and to the fullest. The food is varied, but I recommend the Japanese dishes. The tomato served as an appetizer (otoshi), the assorted sashimi (the horse mackerel with ginger and Iwate salmon are delicious), the simmered eggplant (nibitashi), the fried flounder, and the duck porridge were especially tasty. The owner and his wife are kind and easy to talk to, so even if you drop by alone, you can surely drink and spend time happily. When I made a vague request for 'something light that won't feel heavy,' they brought out a refreshing dish with myoga, which was wonderful. There was a notice about the resumption of cooking classes, so I thought they do many things. Depending on the season, you can enjoy oysters or matsutake mushroom soup (dobin mushi). It seems the owner also infuses his own drinks, which I found interesting. Even after 3 visits, there are new discoveries, so this is a place you should visit about 30 times. The lettuce shabu-shabu is also delicious. If they have wine, I'd like to try it.
View on GoogleThe atmosphere of the shop and the owner are friendly. The menu is diverse and can be ordered without feeling tense. From Japanese to Western food, it's so delicious that I doubted myself, 'Is this a high-end restaurant?'. This is a hidden gem that I highly recommend❣️
View on GoogleA shop I've been curious about for a while. About a 5-minute walk from Inagi Station. The location is near the station and easy to find. The entrance is behind the banner. When I entered, the owner's wife greeted me with 'Welcome~'. Her energy is great and the atmosphere is very homey. The appetizer was monkfish liver (ankimo) tofu. It seems to be handmade by the owner. The texture is firm and the aroma of the monkfish liver is very good. Next was the simmered eggplant. Delicious. These two dishes surprised me with their high quality. The sashimi is fresh. They must be buying fresh fish every day. Like all the dishes, the presentation is very beautiful. This is what you call 'Instagrammable'. That's what I thought. Next, the dish I was most curious about, beef tongue with demi-glace sauce. Delicious. It has a deep flavor. The demi-glace sauce is also handmade by the owner and seems to have taken a lot of time and money. The meat is also tender. It can even be scooped with a spoon. Really. He is a very skilled chef. It costs 2500 yen but it's worth more than that. Finally, the curry rice. This is also delicious. I think they could succeed as a curry specialist. Really. They also have a wide variety of drinks, so alcohol lovers can enjoy it too. My impression: the atmosphere is homey and nice. It makes me want to come back. The timing of serving the food is also good. I thought they pay close attention to the customers. The taste is one level higher than other shops. The presentation is also very beautiful when seen in person. 'Instagrammable' truly describes the food here. The price is not cheap, but with this taste, beauty, and good atmosphere, I don't think it's expensive. It was really delicious. Very satisfied. That's all.
View on GoogleA shop that feels like home cooking in a residential area. All the dishes are carefully prepared and good. It seems they specialize in sashimi. Since they have a selection of sake and wine, it seems suitable for small parties too🎵
