This was a really cool experience! It was not what I was expecting at all. I thought it was a nice stroll since it said valley walking. It actually turned out that you had to climb a ladder and hold on to ropes as you’re going along. It wasn’t hard at all and actually it was a lot of fun. It was a nice surprise. On the way back though I walked down the road and through the tunnel, it didn’t take long. The tunnel was a little dark but it didn’t last too long. I highly recommend it if you’re in the area I think you’ll enjoy it.

Kanoto-Iwa is God's Gate Rock. There are Two 100 meters high Rocks adjoin. You can walk there. It will be good hiking, but it is difficult for little kids to walk there because the rocks are wet and it is easy to slip. You need to grab the safety chain to stay. You don't need to walk the same place because there is a road for cars beside. You will see a tunnel. You may need to have a light method because the tunnel doesn't have a light. Almost no car passes there, but it may. Good luck. There are 7 car parking lots before you reach the Kanto Rock and there are free bath room. I saw a warning of bear around the area. Good luck again.

Very short, very easy, but very cool little area to check out. The tunnel is not pitch black and has plenty lighting you want to walk through it. There’s a second little waterfall further up the road. 10 parking spaces and restrooms at the trailhead. Water is sacred to locals so stay out of it.

This is a small valley located just 5 KM from the famous Okutama's tofu doughnuts. It's pretty interesting to walk between the valley with the sound or river flowing. There is a public toilet in the parking area and view of the Kanoto Rock before entering the small valley. Come here by car and include this place to visit during your weekend getaway in Okutama. Yes, there are cabins and campsite around the river nearby the location.
