Of both the large Buddha statues I have visited, this is probably in the top two. The statue is large and impressive. It is accessed by multiple seats of stairs. There are benches to rest along the way. The bridge before the stairs was my favorite part - wind chimes sounding in the light breeze.
View on GoogleThis is a lovely place. While the main temple dates back to the 14th century, the Daibutsu was only erected in 2018. The steps leading up to the temple and through the temple gate is very special.
View on GooglePeaceful place with 💯 natural views and surroundings. Buddha statue is very huge and visible from parking area. Washroom facilities available with huge parking lot
View on GoogleThis place opened up in 2018. It’s a very beautiful Daibutsu and it looks very good because it’s still new. It’s only about ¥300 to get in. There is a small shop down below, remains of an old hot spring and a bridge with wind chimes (Summer only maybe and ends in August). You can write your wish on one of the wind chimes. And up at the Daibutsu you can write wishes there too. Make sure to bring small change to buy those things when you go up, the lady downstairs can give it to you if you need it.
