Best steak in Hino, Japan. Small place where locals go.

I could eat this every day.

It had been a while since I last visited my favorite meat restaurant. It serves steak and hamburger steak, right in front of 日野自動車. This was a return visit I had been looking forward to. As always, I ordered the dish that satisfies my greedy appetite: 「Wステーキ（hamburger steak 150g＋steak 150g）」. And my son polished off an incredible 500g hamburger steak! Rice refills are unlimited too, so I appreciate being able to eat heartily without holding back. First came the Mexican salad from the lunch set, as usual. It is a simple salad of finely chopped corn, tomatoes, and cucumbers, but it is surprisingly delicious. One serving is not enough, so I order an extra one separately. Another highlight here is sitting at the counter around the kitchen and watching the meat cook right in front of you. Watching them carefully weigh the ground meat, work out the air, and cook it with care builds the anticipation more and more. Then the Wステーキ arrived. The hamburger steak is thoroughly cooked, a proper meaty one packed with flavor. It goes wonderfully with the demi-glace sauce, and adding mustard or Tabasco partway through lets you change up the flavor. For the steak, combining the grated garlic and soy-based sauce on the table is just fantastic. You cannot help eating more rice. These days, having genuinely delicious rice with unlimited refills is a big plus. This is the perfect place for a day when you want a hearty helping of meat. Unlike the trend for rare meat, it offers a comforting taste that really lets you appreciate “the deliciousness of properly cooked meat.” It had been a while, but this place still never lets me down. A taste that already makes me want to eat it again. Thank you for the meal♪

A cozy little restaurant with ４ counter seats and １ table seat. It is a few minutes' walk from the 京王バス日野自動車西門 bus stop. Smoking is prohibited inside, and it seems to be well known in the neighborhood; someone was waiting to enter while smoking by the ashtray beside the entrance. I ordered a green salad, ribeye steak, and hamburger steak. A mini salad and rice come free. The tomatoes in the green salad are truly delicious. Ripe and sweet, yet refreshing and not overpowering. The steak takes some time to arrive, so I recommend this as a starter. When asked how I wanted my steak cooked, I asked the staff for their recommendation, which was medium rare. I requested that, but what arrived was rare. It seems best to order one level more done than you have in mind. Also, quite thick sinews remain, so it seems better to cut across them with your knife as you eat. The hamburger steak tastes and feels like meatloaf or イシイのオベント君: unpretentious, home-style food that is easy to enjoy. The sauce on the table is on the salty side, and there is freshly grated garlic, mustard, and salt and pepper. Use the sauce for a change of flavor; it generally tastes better with salt and pepper.
