I ordered the “wonton men.” Lately I've been drawn to places serving old-fashioned soy sauce ramen with delicious wonton men too. The plain ramen on the menu is cheap at 400円. Wonton men is a normal price at 880円; perhaps the plain version is for people who purely want to savor the noodles. They put care into the noodles too, apparently blending 2 types of Hokkaido wheat flour. The medium-thin noodles are slightly wavy. As its name suggests, the soup is old-fashioned soy sauce ramen, but it's rich and delicious. The wontons have a gentle flavor too. The atmosphere is very nice, and apparently the wife's karaage is delicious too, so I look forward to trying it next time.
View on GoogleA neighborhood Chinese restaurant in Hinodai. I ordered green onion chuka soba 860円 + medium serving 100円. There was 1 customer ahead of me, who paid and left right after I entered, but it took about 10 minutes from ordering until my bowl arrived. It looked like old-fashioned ramen, but the flavor was weak and the soup lukewarm. If I have a chance to go again, perhaps the karaage, since it seems to be famous?
View on GoogleI had the chuka soba. It's chuka soba, rather than ramen. Just as it looks, the flavor is nostalgic and gentle. While many modern ramen varieties are highly distinctive, the chuka soba here is truly simple. The soup, noodles, and chashu all have an unpretentious flavor. But I think that's precisely their commitment. Trendy ramen is nice, but how about some classic chuka soba?
View on GoogleThey're working hard in a location far from the station where running a business is difficult. Today I had the light chuka soba, but next time I'll try the ramen with tonkotsu broth.
View on GoogleI've had karaage and chashu from their mobile stall several times, but every time they're too salty to finish. My friend who was with me said the potatoes were salty too. Everything is far too salty. How about cutting back on the salt a little? I'm writing this because we felt someone should let the shop know.
