If you're looking for sushi with incredibly generous portions of fish, this is the place to visit. The toppings are exceptionally large, making every piece satisfying and great value. It's easily the restaurant's signature feature and what makes it stand out from many other sushi restaurants. The restaurant is a bit far from the nearest station, so I recommend coming by car or taking a taxi. While it's not the most convenient location, the quality and size of the sushi more than make up for the extra effort. I also noticed quite a few international tourists dining here, which suggests that this restaurant has earned a reputation well beyond Japan. It's clearly a well-known destination for anyone looking to experience outstanding sushi. Overall, this is a fantastic sushi restaurant that's worth the trip. If you don't mind traveling a little farther, you'll be rewarded with fresh, delicious sushi featuring impressively large toppings that are hard to find elsewhere.

It almost.seemed local ppl only visit here. We were lucky to be at Hino Sushi when quiet. My first time visit was near 40 years ago. The size of fish is so big that it would satisfy you. Big slice of fish on sushi rice. Never changed in the last 40 years as far as I know. Temperature control, taste, service all as good as I remember. Thank you for many years of excellent service. I will visit again and again!

A long-established sushi restaurant in 日野台, 日野市, a local favorite known for its huge toppings. It creates an atmosphere where even lunch feels comfortable. A 5-minute drive from JR 日野 Station, 日野寿司 in 日野台, 日野市 is a long-established restaurant that everyone locally knows. It sparked a boom with salmon and tuna extending beyond the rice, known as “デカネタ”. I visited for lunch. The interior is very spacious, with a deep counter and plenty of room between seats. There's none of the stiff formality often associated with sushi restaurants; instead, it feels like somewhere locals casually drop in. What I appreciated in this summer weather was being served cold tea. In fact, this restaurant lets you choose hot or cold tea, and getting that refreshing cup after coming in on a hot day makes a noticeable difference in how you feel. It's a small thing, but you can trust a restaurant with this kind of thoughtfulness. As for the all-important taste, it was delicious, as expected. The fish toppings are properly fresh, and the satisfaction of the huge toppings remains intact. The fish-trimming soup has unlimited refills, so the pleasure of sipping soup between pieces of sushi keeps going. As it's often used for business entertaining, memorial gatherings, and family get-togethers, the 2nd floor has a large private room accommodating 30 people, as well as private rooms with sunken-floor tables. It was a place that made me understand why it has long been loved as a local choice for special occasions.
