Just a short walk from the north exit of Toyoda Station. I visited after a long time, and the exterior seemed a little different. Perhaps it's been spruced up. The longtime lady owner welcomed me, which was reassuring. I ordered tsukemen and yaki gyoza. The tsukemen had a light, straightforward flavor. The yaki gyoza were large with sturdy wrappers. The smell of pork fat bothered me a little. It's not the greasy, rich flavor that's trendy now, but a comforting taste. Perfect for finishing off the evening.

I had mapo tsukemen and boiled gyoza(ginger). It was my first time ordering something outside the Daio range. I even ordered while wondering, what's mapo tsukemen like? At first, I picked at the tofu as ordinary mapo tofu, and it was quite tasty. When I dipped the noodles in, they went together better than expected, and it was slightly spicy and delicious. I've recently been getting into ginger and sansho, so the ginger gyoza were delicious, just as I'd hoped. Thank you for the meal

A neighborhood Chinese restaurant near the north exit of Toyoda Station on the JR Chuo Line(the exit on the イオン side). Even the clientele really gives you the sense that this is a long-established place loved by locals. Not just men, but women(both solo diners and pairs), and married couples were visiting, too. Apparently, you can switch to whole-wheat noodles for +50 yen, and it's nice that you can adjust the portion, smaller or larger. Both the ginger sui gyoza(boiled and served with yuzu kosho)and the yaki gyoza were delicious. The half portion has 3 pieces, which is just right when you want a little gyoza alongside your main dish. I appreciated that. The stir-fried meat and vegetables were exactly to my taste, too. I'd definitely like to visit again when I'm at Toyoda Station. It's been a while since I had such delicious neighborhood Chinese food(^ω^)

A long-established ramen restaurant proud of its gyoza, with delicious large dumplings in chewy wrappers” 2021/12/29 I visited for lunch in the 15:00 hour on a Wednesday near the end of the year. “Miso ramen”: 700 yen(tax included, as are the following prices) Flavor 3.3 points/value 3.4 points It was a cold day, so I chose miso ramen. The soup seemed to use blended miso, with a mellow miso flavor. I could taste the animal-based stock and the savory vegetables. The noodles were fairly thick, with a square cross-section and a slight curl. Chewy, smooth noodles. The toppings were mainly vegetables; I could identify bean sprouts, cabbage, wood ear mushrooms, carrots, garlic chives, and pork. Menma, chashu, and seasoned boiled eggs are separate add-ons. Quite tasty ramen. Since the soup was mellow without any sharpness, I wanted to sprinkle on some shichimi togarashi, but pepper was the only seasoning on the table. I decided to drizzle on one round of the rayu provided for gyoza and eat it that way. “Half portion of yaki gyoza(3 pieces)”: 370 yen Flavor 3.6 points/value 3.6 points Apparently, this restaurant takes pride in its gyoza. They're fairly large dumplings with thick, chewy wrappers. Trying them without dipping sauce, you can tell the garlic(ginger, too?)is quite strong. Pretty delicious gyoza. I prefer thin, crispy wrappers to chewy ones, but these made me think chewy gyoza can be quite delicious, too. Since it was an odd time, I thought there might be no other customers, but there was 1 before me+2 after me.

I ordered the “yakisoba” written in huge letters on the sign, along with yaki gyoza. The yakisoba was lightly seasoned, not oily, and delicious. The menu says thick, chewy noodles, but they weren't that thick and went down easily. The sauce flavor wasn't overpowering, either—a classic neighborhood Chinese restaurant yakisoba. The yaki gyoza had lovely fragrant, chewy wrappers with nicely browned surfaces. The filling had a satisfying amount of minced meat, and the flavor was close to xiaolongbao or Chinese steamed buns, too.
