View on Google【No saying, where even is Higashiyamato?☆An exceptionally reliable iekei ramen shop】 Kurashiki, Higashiyamato, Tokyo. A roadside Yokohama iekei ramen shop. Opened in 2014. The nearest station is Kami-Kitadai on the Tama Toshi Monorail Line. Located along Shin-Ome Kaido. Dedicated parking available. A popular place that always seems to have customers(。•̀ᴗ-)✧ Before 20:00 on a weekday—another tiring day. Time to recharge with iekei ramen. I came here after being curious every time I passed. Parking nearly full. Restaurant nearly full. 2 staff members. Ticket machine ordering. Mostly table seating, but since I was alone, I headed to the counter. Lots of young customers _φ(・_・ ◆Today's order◆ Shoyu ramen 830円 Extra-large noodles 200円 Since I chose the extra-large portion with 2 servings of noodles, I requested firm noodles. Thoroughly cooked pork-bone broth with chicken oil and soy sauce seasoning. Medium-thick, stiff-textured noodles of the kind favored by iekei shops. Toppings are chashu, spinach, nori, and chopped negi, iekei-style. Yep, delicious(๑´ڡ`๑) In the latter half, I added a big dollop of the table's garlic & doubanjiang for a major flavor change. Finished it all(✿^‿^) Nothing particularly distinctive, but I think it's a reassuringly consistent Yokohama iekei ramen shop. #Maegashira #IekeiRamen #ShinOmeKaido #Tsukemen #Shoyu・Shio・Miso #ParkingAvailable #TeaFieldNextDoor #TableSeatingAvailable #RiceBowls #LimitedMenuAvailable #PossibleReturnVisit
View on GoogleEver since discovering it during GW, I've been completely hooked and started coming regularly! My personal number one is the tonkotsu shoyu ramen and rice combination🫶🏻 The balance of the broth's flavor The perfect thickness and length of the noodles The toppings almost feel like the three sacred treasures? Spinach, chashu, and nori in the perfect balance. What's crazy is that eating the noodles makes you want more rice Drinking the broth makes you want more rice Put chashu and thoroughly soaked nori on the rice and once you start eating, you can't stop. Be prepared. The Kiwami Tori is also the verrrry best tori paitan I've ever eaten!! It's rich, yet fades away so gently without the flavor ever becoming vague, so you can enjoy its deliciousness to the very end, and it makes you eat more rice too. Every time I visit, I can't decide between tonkotsu shoyu and Kiwami Tori If I could manage it, I'd eat both bowls. That's how delicious it is✨ The service too—when you enter, they prepare cold water for everyone and guide you over, saying please sit here The food arrives so quickly after you hand over your ticket!! Sometimes a staff member brings it Sometimes the guy brings it even though he must be busy in the kitchen I always think everyone's watching the dining area and working together as a team💪🏻 I've never, ever had anything to complain about! Above all, the atmosphere is lovely too. Since I go there hungry, sometimes I end up shouting an absurdly loud, let's eat! and they answer back, which always makes me happy☺️ It's more than just delicious! Seeing all the staff's faces when I visit puts me at ease and makes me happy, like, it's my reward ramen!!! I always really enjoy the food they've made for me💪🏻 Words alone can't fully convey the appeal of 極み家, so I really want you to go and eat there😭!! I'll come hungry again sometime soon💪🏻 Update Ever since I heard the closure announcement, whenever I can make it there, they always welcome me warmly🥲 There are so many customers, and seeing the staff chatting with all kinds of people fills me with sadness. As I eat bite after bite, I keep wondering whether this really is goodbye, yet it's so delicious that once 極み家 closes, I can't even think where I'll go to satisfy my craving for delicious ramen! That's how delicious this place is🥺 Only a few days left, but I'll go eat there on the final day too🫶🏻
View on GoogleFull-of-energy service. I came back after quite a while, and it had gotten so much better.” The sign promotes Iekei ramen, but there is plenty of variety, including a garlicky Jiro-style option and a tori paitan type. Personally, I think Iekei is the safe choice. The takikomi gohan is surprisingly tasty. I wish they would add chahan to their repertoire too… Normally you buy a meal ticket and hand it to the staff, but with PayPay, call a staff member before buying. They operate the ticket machine for you, and then you pay as instructed. The service is always polite, whenever I visit. I think it is an easy place to keep coming back to.
View on GoogleIt is on Shin-Ome Kaido heading toward Shinjuku, just past Kamikitadai Station. There is parking for 6 cars, which can fill up at lunchtime. The prefabricated shop with its wood-grain interior has character. There are four tables and six counter seats. Although it is Iekei, the soup is clean yet creamy, without an unpleasant smell, and the chicken oil is not very noticeable. Some people might find the flavor mild. The noodles are medium-thick with a square cross section. Toppings are chashu, spinach, green onions, and nori. Rice cost extra. Style-wise, it might be close to Matsuichiya. I felt that Iekei fans would probably be divided on it.
