うなぎ 尽徳Unagi Jin Toku
An eel specialty restaurant on the shores of Lake Sayama, where you can relax in a private room while gazing out at a lush bamboo grove garden. We have reopened, reborn with a new concept. Live domestic eels, kept in natural water drawn up from underground, are filleted right here in the restaurant. We also recommend our unaju, which you can savor down to the very last grain thanks to two newly developed sauces. Dishes from our former kaiseki menu are also available, so we will continue to be there for all your occasions, such as memorial services and celebrations (meetings between both families, betrothal ceremonies, matchmaking meetings, 60th birthday celebrations, Shichi-Go-San, a baby's first meal ceremony, birthdays).

A resturant specialized in eels. You will be served with private rooms. My room have a big window. I have ordered a set and my wife ordered only an eel bowl. The shop so kind that they also prepared a dessert for my wife.
View on GoogleA fairly light sauce The eel is grilled with a light crispness and comes out soft and fluffy Quite a few reviews mention the service, but it's probably not something to get too worked up about There was indeed someone who seemed kinda "cool" (?) lol But there are also staff who are all smiles and pleasant Maybe it's good so the eel doesn't get cold, but even so, personally I found the AC too weak (I get hot really easily) Overall ★3.7
View on GoogleLunch Unaju (jo grade) 4400 yen The seating is set up like a private room, with a bamboo grove spreading out across the window. We waited about 30 minutes after ordering, which only raised my expectations. An eel restaurant that serves your food right away makes me uneasy. With the kabayaki, the moment you take a bite, the flavor of the eel and its toasty aroma spread through your mouth, and the sauce is nicely balanced so it doesn't get in their way. It properly tastes like river fish, not that eel-y smell. It comes with extra sauce and two kinds of sansho pepper: the kind you grind and powdered. I think it's best to start without sansho and pour the sauce only over the rice. For the pickles, I wish there had been asazuke. All this for under 5000 yen is a good deal
View on GoogleWhat bothered me most was how listless the women serving the food seemed The unaju was delicious and the room, set up like a semi-private room, wasn't bad either They don't need to be loud like at an izakaya‥ but when they first greet you and when they serve the food we do notice their smiles and manners, and my husband and I were saying that was lacking It spoils what is otherwise good food If you asked me whether I'd come back?‥ Hmm‥ I'd have to think about it
View on GoogleWeekday lunch No reservation, arrived right at opening. We were the 3rd group, but they reacted like, "Huh? No reservation?" There were 2 older ladies on the floor, but the other one was gentle-mannered. The photo is the unaju (jo), 5500 yen. Is the eel Kansai-style…? From the first few bites, the eel's fishy smell spread through my mouth, and I couldn't help feeling the eel I've had before tasted better. The skin still has some chew to it; it's not fluffy. The tail end is tough. Lots of bones were left in too, and they kept poking my mouth and throat. Some bones I couldn't even bite through. The sauce is on the sweet side, and the sansho comes in 2 kinds, powdered and whole, but neither has any aroma, to the point that adding them is pointless. Honestly, I don't think people who like Kanto-style or true eel lovers will be satisfied. Eel isn't a cheap food, so I hope this serves as a reference for people who really love it. I think the location is nice.
