Visited at lunchtime on Saturday. A handmade soba restaurant beside 新青梅街道 with a very atmospheric interior. I really enjoyed the limited-time local spicy radish soba and burdock tempura. I also bought summer vegetables and ポールスターソース from the restaurant's local products corner.
View on GoogleWhen you open the entrance, there's an atmospheric counter, with an area right in front where soba is made. Being able to watch it from the counter is wonderful. The soba was delicious too, and I was very satisfied.
View on Googleそば処 清川 A soba restaurant along 新青梅街道. Inside are counter seats surrounding a dry landscape garden and table seating, with a very atmospheric modern design centered on Japanese style😊 It incorporates 東大和マルシェ, where you can buy local vegetables and regional specialties carefully selected by the owner. Apparently it's a branch licensed to use the name of 『そば処 清川』 in 花小金井. Parking is available. ✼••┈What we ate┈••✼ ▷天ざるそば ¥2640 ▷Duck broth topping ¥715 ▷Mini oyakodon ¥990 ▷Various drinks ¥385 ✼••┈Quick impressions┈••✼ The soba was nihachi, smooth and pleasant going down. It paired exceptionally well with the fresh wasabi you grate yourself. The dipping sauce was sharp and fairly strong. I ordered duck broth separately. The 天ざるそば tempura included 5 kinds: shrimp, eggplant, squid, sillago, and shishito. True to the “large shrimp” description, the shrimp was really big and satisfying. I wanted oyakodon too, so I ordered the mini, but it wasn't mini! It seemed only slightly smaller, which surprised me. The oyakodon had fairly firmly cooked eggs and plenty of chunky, springy chicken♡ There was plenty of rich sauce with a strong dashi flavor, and it was delicious. Everything comes in generous portions, so sharing might be best if you want to try a variety. 2024/11 ✼••┈┈••✼••┈┈••✼••┈┈••✼
View on GoogleIt gets crowded at lunchtime on days off. That shows how popular it is. And the food certainly tastes good, backing that up. The tempura is fried crisp and light, with lovely texture and aroma. Besides the standard cold soba, the various rice bowls are delicious too. Personally, I actually love curry nanban udon. The harmony of slightly spicy, thick curry, long green onions, chicken, and chewy udon is perfect for me.
View on GoogleI had vegetable tempura soba and kate udon. It was 11:30, but the place quickly filled up. It seems popular! Inside are fairly spacious counter seats and tables. The soba was thin, and the udon was firm and not too salty; both were very delicious. The vegetable tempura was good too.
