This is Tonkaratei, which replaced the Gusto on Fuchu Kaido. I visited for the first time to try the limited-time snack chicken that caught my eye every time I passed by. First, the mori soba. The noodles are thick and chewy, with a texture like tsukemen, unlike Aiya or Yumean. It seems this will be the first and last time I eat mori soba here. By the way, there is no soba-yu. Then, the snack chicken and large rice I was aiming for. The snack chicken was crispy, and at 99 yen, it was truly a steal. Unfortunately, since it's only until the end of November, this is effectively the last time I'll eat it. If it were officially adopted, it would probably cost 290 yen. The large rice is about the size of a standard Yoshinoya bowl, which I ate with the all-you-can-eat curry. The total was 802 yen, which I kept reasonable, but I regret ordering the mori soba more. I think I'll be done with this place after eating katsudon next time. > During the Tonkara festival with a 150 yen discount, I had the Karayoshi set and katsudon. The katsudon was delicious with plenty of sauce and mitsuba. The tablet screen recommended curry katsudon or curry tsukesoba, but I'll pass on such weird food. > This store, which opened on May 15th last year, will reportedly close on March 31st before its first anniversary. It's unclear if this is a store shuffle within Skylark HG. By the way, the Bamiyan that was along the Shiki Kaido has already closed.

The katsudon and soba set was delicious. But the touch panel operation is not good. It's hard to order single items from the menu, and the survey asks you to select the good parts instead of asking what needs improvement. Also, the payment is complicated. There are service coupons, many point options, and it's confusing. It should be simpler.

Good value for money. It fulfills the desire to eat a tonkatsu set with a single 1,000 yen bill. I ordered the set that includes loin katsu and fried chicken; the meat isn't thick and the fat isn't overwhelming, so I think it's suitable for women. Actually, the fried chicken was so juicy that I burned my mouth. The batter was crispy, which was great. The rice is a small portion, about a standard bowl. The curry you can eat when ordering a set is the thin type, so it might be unsatisfying for those who want to enjoy katsu curry with thick curry. If I really want to eat freshly fried tonkatsu before payday, I might end up coming here.

December 2024. On the way home from shopping, we were talking about wanting to eat curry rice, and while thinking about places to eat curry other than CoCo Ichibanya or authentic Indian curry restaurants, a 'curry...' sign caught my eye, so I decided to go in. It's a shop that focuses on katsu, but curry is all-you-can-eat. The sign I saw was 'all-you-can-eat curry'. I ordered the fair menu (Niigata tarekatsu) which looked delicious, and my wife ordered a mixed katsu. We had the cabbage and rice made into large portions and enjoyed it as curry rice. Of course, I poured plenty over the katsu too. At home, we often eat shredded cabbage with plenty of curry, so I was satisfied. As I expected it to be a buffet-style curry like Shabu-yo or Skylark, it was delicious. Unexpectedly, I was able to enjoy curry rice at a katsu shop. This place has changed from Gusto -> Shabu-yo -> Gusto -> Tonkaratei. When it was Shabu-yo, I came here quite often.

Today is my first visit since the sign changed from Gusto to Tonkaratei. Since it was originally a Gusto, the shop is spacious and bright, and you can eat in a relaxed manner. I ordered the oyakodon and mori soba set, and there's also all-you-can-eat curry; for this content, 946 yen including tax (excluding pork and eggplant miso sauce) is great value. You can't eat top-class oyakodon using Hinai chicken or Nagoya Cochin, or top-class handmade soba using local flour here. However, you can stop by anytime, it's wallet-friendly, the taste is by no means inferior to Katsuya or Matsunoya, and the friendly service typical of the Skylark group is thoroughly implemented, so the satisfaction level is quite high. Returning to the interior, because it was recently renovated, it's clean and very tidy. Since I want to eat comfortably at restaurants, I hope this condition is maintained. I support you!
