I went to “Ogiya,” a soba shop in Higashimurayama I'd been curious about for a while. I arrived before opening, so I waited a little before going in. This time I simply ordered “mori soba.” I was hungry and ate it before taking a photo, but it went down smoothly, had a strong aroma, and paired wonderfully with the dipping sauce. The interior has a calm, Showa-era atmosphere where you can relax. The “katsuju” someone at the next table was eating looked delicious, so I'd definitely like to order that next time. I felt this was a place with appealing set meals as well as soba.
View on GoogleA place I've visited a few times. The Showa-era feel is intense. The elderly people running it are still working hard. The food is delicious too. Even my husband said the sets were quite substantial. Younger people might like a little more. I hope they keep going for a long time.
View on GoogleWhen I went inside, it was an old-fashioned soba shop retaining a Showa-era atmosphere, complete with Showa pop songs! Of course the food was delicious too, and I felt like I'd found a hidden gem! It must be loved by the locals! Thank you for the meal!
View on GoogleI got caught in heavy rain while out for a walk, so I had lunch while taking shelter. I had a generous portion of tenzaru soba. The proprietress was friendly too, and I left full.
View on GoogleThe katsuju was very delicious. I ordered the set with udon, and it was quite substantial too.
