Great mazesoba place. Only counter seats, but the shop is bigger than the one I went to in Tokorozawa. The serviced extra rice could have been a bit more but it’s free so I can’t complain much.

This time I had the signature 台湾まぜそば. Savory, spicy minced meat, garlic chives, fish powder, egg yolk, and more come together and pair beautifully with the chewy thick noodles◎ Although it packs a punch, it is well balanced and so delicious you can't stop eating Personally, I found it quite mild.

I was going to 中本 in 秋津, but it was crowded, so I came here. During the 12 noon hour on 5/5. The ticket machine accepts credit cards and QR payments. A bearded man with an effeminate voice, who seemed to be the manager?, kept urging me to take the receipt. When paying by credit card, 3 pieces of paper come out: the meal ticket, a square piece of paper after a delay, and the receipt. I thought the second piece was the receipt and was about to sit down (not knowing 3 pieces would come out), but this man was extremely overbearing, and I already felt a little distrustful at that point. During GW, restaurants tend to be either crowded or quiet, and this seemed to be one of the latter, with about half the seats empty. The seating surrounds the kitchen in a reversed コ shape. I tried to sit at the very end on the right immediately after entering, but the man directed me to another seat with a commanding gesture of his chin. Even after I sat there: Me: "Please make the noodles firm." Man: "We can't." Man: "Would you like garlic?" Me: "I'm good." Man: "No garlic?" Me: "No." By this point I was already angry and felt coming here was a huge mistake Then a female customer came in She sat in the seat I'd first tried to use and been refused. Nothing was said. After my food arrived, another male customer came in, and this staff member's first words were, "Please sit wherever you like." Why was I the only one who had to be assigned a seat? It's infuriating This isn't a 二郎 branch or an independent restaurant, so who does he think he is? You might see a staff member at a regular restaurant chain giving service this awful once every 5 years, if that What is this terrible treatment? Open your own independent restaurant and discriminate against customers there. I may visit other branches, but I'm never going back to こころ in 秋津. The worst. This awful service at the end of GW left my mood in tatters.

I go to こころ fairly often, and the toppings at the 秋津 branch always seem very carefully arranged. I'm also happy there's enough sauce to make you want extra rice. The branch I visited before left no sauce at all, so... Carefully prepared and delicious!
