I heard my wife often had food delivered from here when she was a child, so I wanted to visit someday. Today was my first visit. I had the large mori soba with a mini beef kalbi bowl. I saw on a gourmet app that the soba was soft, but it wasn't like that at all! It was firm and chewy. Is it 2:8 soba? The aroma was subtle, but it went down smoothly and I could eat it forever. The mini beef kalbi bowl was well-seasoned and went great with rice. I finished it while snacking on red pickled ginger and takuan. I also had the soba-yu. It was light, maybe a bit lacking in aroma. The price seems to have gone up compared to before, but since it's a private shop and considering the current situation, it's unavoidable. In this day and age, it's better not to complain about prices when eating out. It just ruins the meal. Taste, volume, atmosphere, overall I'm satisfied. As someone else wrote, the inside of the shop was well-cleaned and very tidy. I'll be back!

I had zaru soba and a kalbi bowl at Hachian in Higashimurayama. It was busy during lunch, but the atmosphere was calm so I could eat slowly. The zaru soba was fragrant and the texture was excellent. It was firm yet easy to eat, and the balance with the dipping sauce was perfect. The simplicity really highlights the quality of the ingredients. The kalbi bowl was well-coated in a sweet and savory sauce that made the rice delicious. The meat was tender, the portion was sufficient, and it was a very satisfying dish. The combination of the refreshing soba and the rich kalbi bowl was great, and I enjoyed it until the end. The staff's service was polite and pleasant, a shop I'd like to visit again when I'm nearby. ◎

It looks like an old-established shop, but the interior is clean and you can use PayPay. Besides the standard menu, if you look at the wall, there are single dishes and mini-bowl sets. Beer comes in large and medium, and there was Takashimizu. The ankake udon I ordered felt like okame udon with a thick sauce, and it had quite a lot of ingredients. I expected kake udon, so it was a surprise. But the seasoning of the sauce was too strong... The stir-fried meat and vegetables were saltier than they looked. It's right in front of the tax office, but since there aren't many lunch spots around here, it's probably a rare find. Also, cars speed down the street in front, so you need to be careful when leaving the shop after eating.

As you can see from the storefront and menu, it's a popular shop, so the taste is average—neither bad nor good. The cleaning is surprisingly thorough and there's a friendly landlady. However, since there are no other restaurants around, the prices are steep. It's unavoidable due to inflation, but they recently raised prices again...

An old-fashioned soba shop. There is tatami seating. I had the leaf wasabi seiro. The spicy flavor of the leaf wasabi goes well with the soba. The soba is white like sarashina, and the noodles were a bit thick. The boiling was perfect. The dipping sauce is a bit salty, but within an acceptable range. They served soba-yu, but it was more like hot water with a hint of noodle flavor. Since they also boil udon and ramen, it's unavoidable. A shop I'd want to come back to.
