All I knew about 東村山 was the statue of 志村けん’s バカ殿様 character, but I discovered a great restaurant. アジアン酒場 ABHIMANI. It’s a bar, but the Asian food is delicious too. I was impressed by the owner’s skills, befitting someone who trained at a ryotei! And yet it’s inexpensive! Chatting with the owner, who looks like 西田敏行, is fun too. On the way back from cheering at ベルーナドーム, I’m definitely visiting again! Thank you for the meal.

View on GoogleThree of us friends went in for the first time. The lunch menu apparently ranges from A to E depending on the day, and that day it was course E. We added fresh spring rolls and shrimp toast. Both were delicious! I also had a bite of each friend’s main dish, and everything was delicious. But since I’d never eaten the same dishes before, I have no basis for comparison, so I suppose this restaurant’s flavors will become my starting point. You can choose a drink too. We were told ginger was the most popular, but it was sold out that day, so I ordered 高知 yuzu and my two friends ordered domestic white peach. Both had jam settled at the bottom, so you stir as you drink. These were quite delicious! They come in beer mugs, so it looks like you’re drinking a highball. The owner is friendly, and I’d like to come for drinks in the evening~
View on GoogleI had green curry and homemade ginger ale (hot) for lunch. The slightly spicy curry goes very well with the rice. There was a good amount of chicken too, making it satisfying and filling. The homemade ginger ale isn’t carbonated because it’s served hot. It had a strong ginger flavor, tasted delicious, and warmed me right up. Thank you for the meal.
View on GoogleThe shrimp toast is unbelievably delicious!!! The beef gapao rice is exquisite too. I love Thai food and often go out for it, but I had no idea there was such a delicious Asian restaurant in my neighborhood. There apparently is a space on the 2nd floor that can be booked for private parties. The owner is also friendly to talk to, and I’d like to eat here regularly from now on.
