traditional taste
View on GoogleIt was delicious! I visited at lunchtime. Inside, there are 4 counter seats, a table for 2, and a table for 4. Water and rice are self-service, and it's nice that rice is free at lunch! There are many types of ramen, and I was curious because several people ordered キャベツラーメン. I'll try it another time. A bowl of ramen is 900円! It's helpful that it stays under 1000円 with rice. The flavor was delicious too! As other reviews say, it's quite light, but has a sharp finish. I'd like to visit again!
View on GoogleI've been a fan since they were near 羽村駅, before moving to the current location. おか家's ramen feels mild, but I get the impression that the flavors that should stand out properly do. I like the owner's craftsman-like air, but spots where the restaurant floor feels springy are a bit of a minus.
View on GoogleI had business in 小作 for work, so I looked for a ramen restaurant and visited this one because it caught my interest. I actually wanted to go to ラーメンショップ, but apparently it only opens in the morning,,, From the outside, only the sign looks Iekei-style; inside, it looks like an ordinary izakaya. It's incredibly clean for an Iekei place. The menu is written above the kitchen. Ramen is 800円. Fairly cheap these days. Since I probably won't come again, I ordered おか家スペシャル for 1300円. I chose normal for all the preferences. The bowl arrived in about 5 minutes. It was filled with toppings. The broth was smooth but had a strong tonkotsu umami, and was delicious. But for some reason, it wasn't piping hot. The mystery lay in the toppings. The green onions were the kind that retain their shape, which I thought was unusual. The egg was soft-boiled and had an intense flavor, perhaps from being marinated for ages—so delicious! The chashu was slightly tough; either the spinach or the chashu was cold. The menma, unusual for Iekei, was ice-cold, haha. I realized this was why the broth wasn't piping hot. The all-important noodles were a little soft, but had a strong umami and were delicious. The nori was also an unusually thin type for Iekei. It paired well with the noodles. Overall, a delicious but disappointing restaurant... Thinking how much better it would have been if the toppings weren't cold, I regret choosing the special. Anyone ordering the special should ask them to heat the toppings thoroughly. Actually, I should have said something on the spot. Payment seemed to be cash only. Thanks for the meal!
View on GoogleCame from 相模原 after watching YouTube. I like Iekei ramen and eat it in various places. For the ほうれん草ラーメン, I chose normal doneness, normal flavor, and less fat. I chose normal noodles, but they felt soft. The broth tasted a little salty toward the end. Less fat was good. Rice is free and unlimited only at lunchtime, self-service. The seasoned egg was a good one, and excellent. Coronavirus precautions are in place. Next time, I'd like firm noodles and to try チャーシュー丼. Thanks for the meal.
