Nice small restaurant our sashimi and grilled eel and fish were delicious. Credit cards accepted.
View on GoogleUnafuji is a popular eel specialty restaurant in Midorigaoka, Hamura, Tokyo. About a 10-minute walk from Hamura Station, it is loved by locals. Inside are counter seats and tatami seating, with a homey atmosphere. A particularly popular dish is “unaju,” topped generously with fluffy eel, with a secret sauce bringing out its exquisite flavor. Prices range from around 3,000円 to 5,000円, making it perfect for special occasions too. Reasonably priced lunch sets make it easy to drop by. Parking is available, making access by car convenient. I had the “two-tiered unaju.” It really consisted of 2 bowl-like containers stacked together. Each portion was perhaps enough for one person with a small appetite. I started with the upper tier. The eel was fluffy, with a delicious sauce. Perhaps partly because I hadn't had eel in a while, it was quite delicious. My colleague who came along enjoyed it too. After finishing one, I sprinkled sansho on the second. Mmm, this is delicious too~ Since it still tasted delicious after eating 2, it made me realize again how genuinely good it was.
View on GoogleLunch unaju ¥1870 B+ Includes chawanmushi, eel liver soup, and pickles Half an eel, tasted a little sweet. This price for this set is inexpensive Full even at weekday lunch; groups of 3 or more can't get in without a reservation. No waiting space. The unaju arrived first, with soup and chawanmushi later. About 6 counter seats and 4 tables. Parking is on gravel beside the restaurant. Narrow entrance with a level difference.
View on GoogleYou can have eel, sushi, and more. This time I visited for lunch. The lunch unaju is available for under 2000円. It comes with eel liver soup, chawanmushi, and pickles. I also highly recommend the hitsumabushi I previously had at dinner. There's a large parking lot right next door, but the entrance and exit are narrow.
View on GoogleMy first visit. I ordered the shirayaki set meal, while my family had unaju. The shirayaki was very delicious. The unaju sauce was a little sweet, but my family happily ate it and said it was delicious. I'd definitely like to return for the shirayaki.
