I recently had dinner at the Coral Restaurant in Hamura .This is an eclectic establishment with delicious and unique dishes. I picked fish for my meal and it was delightful. First came a bowl of corn soup that was perfect , then a rice appetizer type of dish that was extremely tasty, then a fantastic and generous sized salad. The fish entree was served with cooked vegetables and was outstanding. All of the vegetables used in the salad and in the entree are grown in their own garden and are exquisitely prepared. I cannot say enough nice things about this fine restaurant, their great food and the friendly atmosphere created by the proprietors.

A well-known, long-established Western-style restaurant. The corn soup served first is very sweet and delicious. Overall, you get to enjoy plenty of fresh vegetables. They even served warabi that day! The hamburg steak with demi-glace sauce also came with fried shrimp and other things, plus plenty of spinach! It was piping hot and delicious. Coffee is included at the end too! There is parking right next door. The customers ranged from young people to seniors.

A long-established Western-style restaurant The parking lot holds about 10 cars too. There are surprisingly few places where you can get proper Western-style food. I do not find family restaurant food tasty, so I am happy there is a proper, delicious Western-style restaurant! Hamburg steak, white fish meunière, steak, stew, etc.—everything is delicious. The Coral Special Hamburg comes with an extra-large fried shrimp, and this shrimp really is huge! It is head-on and packed with firm, springy meat that is wonderfully satisfying! It is not some sad, hollow little shrimp just because it comes in a set! The hamburg steak is not made smaller just because it is part of a set either! So it does not all fit on 1 plate and is served on 2 plates. The accompanying salad has Coral's original dressing, which is incredibly delicious! Sometimes they give you a complimentary small dish to nibble on. Perhaps it is family-run; an older lady and her daughter? Daughter-in-law? work the floor. They are friendly, and it is easy for a woman to visit alone. You can also call to order takeout! An authentic Western-style restaurant, already long-established, but I hope it lasts forever.

We visited for our wedding anniversary. We used to live in this town. We moved away, but my wife wanted the fried shrimp here, so I made a reservation. The interior had a calm atmosphere, and every dish was carefully prepared and delicious. The presentation was beautiful and a pleasure to look at too. The staff's service felt natural and comfortable, and we spent a lovely time perfectly suited to our anniversary. We would like to visit again next year.
