World class ramen! So good. Owner is very nice. Simple and inexpensive. Best in town!
View on GoogleIt seems many people order chuka soba or shoyu ramen, but for me, this restaurant has only one choice: miso ramen. I'm from Hokkaido and grew up with Sapporo ramen, but here you can enjoy a wonderful miso broth that is every bit as good as Sapporo ramen. The miso they use is “紅一点味噌,” made by Hokkaido Iwata Jozo. Unlike the chuka soba, it uses medium-thick noodles, cooked just right. It contains stir-fried vegetables such as bean sprouts, the broth's richness is the same every time, and the flavor balance is incredible‼︎ I usually leave the broth at ramen shops because I don't want too much salt, but the miso ramen at ごんべえ puts me in “finish absolutely everything mode,” drinking every last drop. After trying shoyu ramen, chuka soba, shio ramen, tanmen, and chahan at ごんべえ, I've settled on miso ramen. (The tanmen is also delicious, and the chahan is incredibly good.) ※The photos show the miso ramen I've eaten over my visits. The bowl arrives in 3 minutes—such impressive cooking skills‼︎ When I asked the owner about the flavor being the same every time, he said, “That's something I consciously pay attention to every time I cook.” Really, one word says it all: wonderful‼︎ Miso ramen is the best‼︎
View on GoogleSince it's visible from the Fussa end of the platform at Hamura Station (➡see image), aren't there probably many people who know it exists but have never eaten there? Ramen broth is the lifeblood of a neighborhood Chinese restaurant. This is a place where you can fully savor it. Since it's a one-person operation, there's a bit of a wait during the lunch rush, but it's worth waiting for. Both “ramen” and “chuka soba” are available. The clarity of the “ramen” broth is exactly what a neighborhood Chinese restaurant should be like. The “miso ramen” and “tanmen” are also tasty and packed with vegetables, but “ramen” is my top recommendation.
View on GoogleIt was a simple miso ramen and very delicious✨ I also had chahan, and I was delighted that both were piping hot✨
