View on Google2025.12 first visit. This handmade udon restaurant moved from 日清 to the サガミ group quite some time ago. I often go to サガミ, where the food is delicious and I can eat with confidence, so I wondered how this place would be and tried it. They have the usual range of Japanese set meals, including udon. My order was, 柔らかかつ重 and kushikatsu. The cutlet had no fatty parts, and the meat was tender. However, the egg part of the katsu-ju was far too bland and not tasty. I do not know whether this is only at this location. As for the udon, the broth was underwhelming. Even if a light flavor is a valid direction, it did not feel like the carefully crafted broth described on the official website. Since this chain focuses on udon, I found myself thinking the broth should be tastier; did I expect too much? If headquarters says this is the broth they are aiming for, then it is simply a mismatch with my taste, and that is all. However, the menu says broth is made in the restaurant every day. If this policy backfires and causes inconsistent flavors between locations, that is disappointing. The miso kushikatsu itself was delicious, but the cabbage served alongside it was terrible! The cut edges had dried out, and although there were only a few pieces, some had scattered dark spots on the cut edges (photo included). Even at home, it does not turn black until several days have passed, so if someone said they were using delivered precut vegetables that were deteriorating because consumption was low, would they not have to accept that criticism? The thick-cut parts of the cabbage were bitter, so perhaps they cut it in-store but use the outer leaves without discarding many of them. The staff's service is good, but the meal… It did not make me want to return. As part of the サガミ group, is this all right?
