Japanese take on korean food. Pretty Bland. Jjigae missing critical Korean flavors. Kimchi tastes more like Japanese Kimchi. Atmosphere and presentation look Korean and I was excited to finally have decent Korean food in Japan. Then you taste the food and it’s definitely lacking. I’ll continue my search for authentic Korean food in Japan. Sigh.
View on GoogleGreat food, reasonably clean and tidy, easy parking lot.
View on GoogleThe food here is really good, but sometimes it's hard to find parking. You order from a touch screen at the front of the restaurant. They accept cash, card, Suica...
View on GoogleI'm not sure why there aren't more Korean chain restaurants but this place was very good! We enjoyed the variety of sauces. Portions was very big and filling.
View on GoogleTukkun² Hamura branch @Hamura Stone-grilled beef yakiniku bibimbap ¥900, large portion ¥100, choregi salad ¥170 Near Hamura Station, along Shiyakusho-dori, a stone-grilled bibimbap and sundubu jjigae shop, "Tukkun²"! It has a parking lot and is a fairly large place. Must be backed by some big company,,, I thought, and when I looked it up, it's a Korean restaurant run by Matsuya Foods, famous for gyudon, and apparently a rare shop that only exists in Hamura,,, The bright interior was decently busy even though it was past 22:00 on a weekday. Buy a meal ticket at the high-tech ticket machine right by the entrance. When your food is ready, your number is called and you go pick it up. The "Stone-grilled beef yakiniku bibimbap" comes with not just the piping-hot stone bibimbap but also kimchi, namul, and wakame soup, reasonably priced at ¥900. A large rice for an extra ¥100 and choregi salad for ¥170 are super cheap too. The stone bibimbap has Korean nori, kimchi, namul, egg yolk and more, plus a decent amount of beef — luxurious! The kimchi is mild and the namul lightly seasoned, but besides the bibimbap sauce, you can add any of 8 kinds of sauces like garlic soy sauce and meat miso to taste, so you can finish it the way you like. Being able to choose sauces is nice, but the fact that the base is lightly seasoned is the real plus. The choregi salad was mostly sunny lettuce and a bit cheap, but overall, for this content at this price, the cost performance is outstanding. Thanks for the meal♪
