Visited at 12 on Saturday with a reservation. There are parking spaces for 4 cars in front. A sign said they were fully booked that day. It may be best to reserve on weekends. It's far from the station but quiet, so perhaps many people use it for memorial gatherings and similar occasions. There are table seats and tatami seating. The tatami area has sunken kotatsu seating with floor heating around your feet, which was wonderfully warm. I chose the 季会席. Every dish was delicious and I was very satisfied. Their pot-cooked rice seems to be famous; I had the chirimen sansho rice, and it was very delicious. They said I could take any leftovers home, but I finished everything without leaving a thing (haha)

The shabu-shabu course. It's expensive, so I think the ingredients are good. But the flavor is weak. どん亭 tastes 100 times better to me, with better satisfaction and pricing too. Well, perhaps it's a place for the atmosphere.

Although it's a little far from the station, its peacefulness makes it a locally loved retreat where you can forget the bustle of the city. For a group of around 10 wanting to take their time enjoying delicious kaiseki on a special day, 佐久田 is a place that will surely meet expectations. The carefully prepared seasonal dishes are beautiful to look at, and each bite brings delicious, naturally rich ingredient flavors. However, the overall menu doesn't have a particularly large number of dishes, so visiting several times in a short period makes it less impressive. The attentive service and warm hospitality are pleasant too. It's not just the food—the atmosphere of the whole restaurant is lovely.

2021/4月−−− After quite a long time, I had lunch again at 佐久田, about a 10-minute walk from Minamino Station. They also have an extensive takeaway selection, including bento and rice bowls, and several reserved takeaway orders were picked up while I was there. There was a lunch reservation after 13 too. The menu had changed completely. I chose the tai pot-cooked rice for 1200円 before tax—in other words, tai kamameshi—and, since their tempura is delicious, vegetable tempura for 600円. They explained that pot-cooking the rice would take more than 20 minutes. Shortly after ordering, I began hearing tempura frying. About 5 minutes later, a colorful, heaped salad bowl? arrived in beautiful Japanese tableware. With Japanese-style dressing, it was healthy and delicious. About 15 minutes later, the vegetable tempura arrived. Butterbur buds, myoga, sweet potato, green pepper, lotus root, eggplant, and more—healthy too. They have pink salt, but I prefer dipping tempura in sauce, so I used that. Crisp, springlike, and delicious. While I was eating, the tai pot-cooked rice arrived piping hot in a 1-go pot. It was packed with slices of sea bream and beautifully cooked. I served it into a bowl and enjoyed it with the tempura. Thank you for the meal. Both the tai pot-cooked rice and vegetable tempura were very satisfying—this really is a good kappo restaurant. 2020年−−− I visited kappo 佐久田, about a 12、3-minute walk from Hachioji-Minamino Station toward Nanakuni. It doesn't feel like a casual drop-in place at night, but lunch is approachable. I ordered the choice tempura lunch set for 1800円. Soon I heard tempura frying, building my anticipation. The tray came with tempura, a dressed side dish, pickles, miso soup, rice, and tempura dipping sauce. The tempura was not only beautifully arranged but cooked just right, bringing out the ingredients' deliciousness. A delicious meal—thank you.
