A shop I stopped at during a run along Koshu Kaido. It is an old-fashioned Chinese restaurant. I went inside and checked the menu posted on the wall. They serve food at old-fashioned low prices. I chose wonton men. It is 700円. The bowl arrived after a while. I thought there was a lot of chashu for wonton men, but it turned out to be wonton chashu men. That was also cheap at 900円, so I ate it as it was. It tastes like simple, old-fashioned chuka soba. Sometimes you just feel like eating ramen with this kind of flavor, don't you? Thank you for the meal.
View on GoogleVisited on a Saturday in October at 13時50分; there were about 4 tables. Sat down and ordered (gomoku kata yakisoba). Smoking is allowed here, so beware if that bothers you! They seem to offer delivery too! Is kata yakisoba what they call sara udon in Nagasaki? The crisp, thin noodles are stubbornly crunchy right to the end! The thick sauce is packed with ingredients and generously portioned—I'm stuffed!
View on GoogleFirst visit! A shop with a real Showa-era feel! Ordered chahan and chashu men! The seasoning is strong, so be careful ⚠️! Since I do physical labor, it was just right for replenishing salt!
View on GoogleTakao Station Along Koshu Kaido Autumn, when the rows of ginkgo trees look incredible. Chinese food under a yellow awning and red noren curtain Tsuruya Shokudo♪ It catches your eye when you're traveling along Koshu Kaido, doesn't it♪ OPEN from 11♪ When you enter The dad and mom welcome you with smiles. Maybe grandpa and grandma would be more accurate. All along the wall Posted menus As you would expect from a diner Chinese food, set meals, rice bowls... all sorts of things. They also do delivery And were preparing lunchtime deliveries. Their son? I wonder... it seems to be family-run. I Sometimes really Crave wonton men... So I ordered wonton men♪ So cheap at 700円! The dad smiles And says, "Here you go!" as he brings it to the table. Wontons swim In Showa-style Shoyu ramen. Thin noodles, nostalgic chuka soba, soft and jiggly wontons. This is what I crave sometimes. Cheap And delicious. A nostalgic Showa atmosphere. I like Tsuruya Shokudo♪ I'll go again.
View on GoogleI ordered chahan after reading the reviews here. It has lots of ingredients and tastes good, but it was too salty for me. It seems the chashu was salty. I like the flavor, but people who prefer lighter seasoning should be careful. Yesterday the chashu in the chahan was salty And the accompanying shoyu-based soup was strong too So I gave it another try with vegetable tanmen. But that was strong too, I think. Maybe everything is heavily seasoned?
