Nice chewy texture of the udon. Tried the spicy garlic soup, mild spiciness. A good change after a week long of soy sauce base food around Tokyo. Must try is nearbym. Quaint little homely eatery.

I visited to coincide with a Fanmon concert 🌟 Since you can eat 「ファンモンうどん」, produced by Fanmon, this restaurant is a pilgrimage spot for fans 🕺 As it was the day of the concert, around 7 groups were already lined up, and I waited about 30 minutes, but it was absolutely worth lining up! The signature Fanmon udon is served dipping-style, and a nice touch is being able to choose a spice level from 1~3 💡 You can adjust it to your liking, so even people who aren't good with spicy food can feel at ease. It's packed with ingredients and very satisfying—even the regular portion leaves you 10 tenths full. Apparently they've also recently started selling frozen udon, and I thought being able to enjoy the restaurant's flavor at home was very appealing ✨ Recommended not only for Fanmon fans, but also for anyone who wants delicious udon!

Weekday lunch at 「武蔵野うどん たまや」 🍜✨ The noodles are incredibly thick and sooo chewy!! The more you chew, the more the wheat flavor spreads—really satisfying 😳 The firm chew characteristic of Musashino udon is fantastic, and it goes perfectly with the rich dipping broth ◎ Plus, there's loads of meat, making it so satisfying…🥹✨ The interior is comfortable too, and it's the kind of place that makes you want to come back 🌸 Our timing meant we didn't have to wait, but it was busy despite being a weekday, and some customers were waiting! A popular place indeed (^▽^)/

I ordered a regular serving of ファンモンうどん (1200円) and a half portion of rice (160円). The noodles deserve to be called “The Musashino udon,” with a firm (hard?) springiness and hearty chew that matches the dipping broth. The dipping broth is mildly spicy but also sweet (does it contain sesame and some kind of nuts?), with an appetizing aroma. At the end, I added rice to the remaining dipping broth for a finishing zosui. I deliciously enjoyed every last bit.

I went on an acquaintance's recommendation. It had been ages since I'd had udon with such a firm chew! So good~! The udon itself was delicious, but the dipping broth was packed with ingredients too, and the grated daikon was just right! The tempura was crispy and delicious as well! I'll be back.
