Went before our hike to Takao at 11am. There was no queue and plenty of seating. Gets the job done — perfect for loading up on carbs before a hike. The portions are huge, so you definitely get good value for money. Taste-wise, it’s decent but not particularly memorable. A solid, filling option if you’re prioritizing quantity over standout flavor.

Getting the cold soba noodles on a hot day was extremely refreshing. Good soba noodles, QR code ordering however I do believe it's cash only for payment. It can get pretty busy, however the place is pretty big so they can sit a lot of people.

Perfect restaurant to finish off your day hiking in Takao. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. You can choose between tatami floor seats or a standard table. Restaurant specialises in the soba but they also have some rice options as well. Ordered the tempura soba set which came with a mushroom, pumpkin, green pepper and shrimp tempura. Noodles were perfect texture in a simple broth. You can also add seaweed, spring onions and other seasonings to your taste. Desserts were nothing too special would recommend the buckwheat confectionery over the persimmon sherbet as that was just frozen persimmons, but ordering just mains would have been enough.

I ordered the tempura soba set. The soba noodles tasted fairly standard. The tempura included mushrooms, shrimp, chili peppers, and sweet potato. The mushrooms were a bit oily. The condiments on the table were all of very good quality. The restaurant itself also had an elegant atmosphere.

The grated yam cold soba was really good especially as a post hiking meal. The grated yam complements the salty broth well and the vegetables inside added a really nice crunch.
