View on GoogleOn my way back from a motorcycle ride, I stopped at FamilyMart and spotted a soba restaurant on the same property, sharing the parking lot. I arrived in the evening, and the restaurant was not open yet, so I bought a drink at the convenience store. While I was resting beside my motorcycle, the restaurant opened… sakura ebi and soba… my craving grew stronger, so I walked through the noren and went in. I bought tickets for curry soba containing sakura ebi and sakura ebi kakiage soba (cold) at the ticket machine, then headed to a table… There are counter and table seats, with what looks like the kitchen behind the counter. The staff were very kind, and I settled in comfortably. After a short wait, the soba arrived. I had the curry soba… ah, that delicious curry soba flavor💦 It gives you the satisfaction you get from eating good curry udon or curry soba. The sakura ebi adds a lovely flavor too. My companion had the sakura ebi kakiage soba, and the kakiage had a crisp, delicate coating that looked rather beautiful. It was packed with sakura ebi and delicious. The soba was springy too, and thoroughly satisfying. Sakura ebi here? As someone who often eats it at Yui Port and elsewhere, I was puzzled at first, but it was thoroughly satisfying, or rather, delicious. Looking it up, it apparently was the Hachioji branch of a restaurant mainly based in Shizuoka, which made sense. Oh, you can also have Shizuoka oden for 130 yen per piece. You buy it at the ticket machine, but apparently you can also pay cash if you have small change. As a Shizuoka oden fan, that made me happy. I had kuro hanpen, daikon, and one more thing I forgot💦 It is simply delicious oden. Honestly, I dropped in on a whim without expecting much, but left quite satisfied. I will stop by again!
View on GoogleI learned on social media that I could get delicious sakura ebi kakiage near home, so I went to 「鐘庵さん」🚗💨 I arrived before opening on a weekday and got in without waiting, but customers kept arriving afterward❗️ My wife and I went together, and we both felt kakiage was a must, so we each ordered it. I chose the warm soba set, and my wife chose the special curry soba. You order by buying tickets from a machine, and when I hesitated just a little, they said, “Please ask us if you need help”🙇♂️ The food arrived less than 10 minutes after we sat down♪ The sakura ebi kakiage was freshly fried and smelled so good that my stomach growled before eating🤭 With everything ready, “Let’s eat〜🙏🏻” The kakiage was crispy, very light, and not greasy; I could eat endless amounts of this😆 Perhaps the soba could have had a little more bite〜⁉️ The curry soup was not spicy, but mellow and gentle in flavor. Anyway, we enjoyed everything‼️ I headed home thinking I would like to try the Shizuoka oden🍢 and other dishes next time. I deducted one point for “atmosphere” because, although it was not loud enough to be noisy, I felt the staff chatted among themselves a lot during our meal…… sorry😅 Everything else gets full marks💯 and I will definitely return. Thank you for the meal😋
