【2026.8】Salt butter (900円) A slightly cloudy, mellow salt broth, with the umami of chicken bones gently seeping through😋 Light yet with solid richness The noodles are medium-thin straight noodles boiled for about 50 seconds Firm, and they go down wonderfully smooth The butter pairs perfectly too, boosting the mellowness a lot😉

I came here after bar-hopping around Ameyoko and Omoide Yokocho. It's in Hachioji's nightlife district and at first glance looks like an izakaya, but it's a proper ramen shop. However, since it's the kind of place you go for a closer after drinking at an izakaya, they have all sorts of alcohol inside and you can drink here too. I ordered shio ramen; the soup was light and easy to drink, and I thought the noodles were reasonably tasty too.

Salt butter chashu Anyway, there were so many menu items that I ordered the salt butter chashu, the priciest one at the top left. I just kind of figured that with a horizontal menu, the top left might be the recommendation? It's definitely not that I was too drunk to follow the text… I'd had a fair amount to drink that day, so my body was sort of craving salt, and the just-right saltiness gave my stomach a nice kick, and I was able to drink the soup down to the last drop. Looking at the menu again, they even have super-spicy ramen and shijimi clam ramen. I'd like to try them next time after drinking in Hachioji.

I came here for a closer after a drinking party. It's about a 7-minute walk from Hachioji Station. Inside there are counter seats and tatami seats. The interior is a bit well-worn and has character. Believe it or not, they're open until 7 a.m. A ramen shop that's perfect for a late-night meal or a closer. Come to think of it, there don't seem to be many ramen shops in Hachioji open this late…. This time I ordered the tonkotsu miso chashu and a draft beer. The ramen arrived in about 4-5 minutes! It's a bowl where you can enjoy the richness of tonkotsu, a thick miso soup, springy thin egg noodles, and melt-in-your-mouth chashu. It's personally my favorite kind of miso ramen that I crave after drinking, but it's a bit pricey and the volume felt a little lacking. You can upgrade to a large serving for an extra charge, so if you're really hungry, it might be better to order the large. The rich, thick miso ramen itself was very delicious! The draft beer is Sapporo! Poured beautifully into an ice-cold mug. Goes down smooth, and pairs perfectly with the rich miso soup! It was delicious! Since it's near the bar district, this might be my go-to for closer ramen…? Thank you for the meal!
