2026.08 I was watching a YouTube video that described this place's menu as paradise, so I made my first visit to investigate in person. Arrived at 13:30 on a weekday, with no customers before or after me. One man running everything, a dim interior… Shared ソースカキフライ丼 and 焼肉定食セット (hot soba) with my companion. I can't be certain, but I didn't hear any meat grilling, so perhaps the yakiniku was a heated commercial retort product? The finished texture felt that way too. Sorry if I'm wrong. The fried oysters were definitely fried from frozen. They had very little oyster flavor or aroma. My favorite was the hot soba. The broth wasn't very sweet and had a crisp finish. The soba didn't go limp over time. It was delicious.

The meat in the katsudon was tender and delicious, but unfortunately the rice was a little too soft. The relatively low prices are welcome. Apparently they have specialty oyster dishes, so I'd like to try the fried oyster set meal or something similar next time.
View on GoogleIt's in Katakuramachi along Kitano-kaido. An energetic older man runs the place. I was curious about a soba restaurant said to have delicious gyoza and ramen, so I went to try it. I ordered tenmori. The dipping sauce had a noticeable dashi aroma and the kaeshi wasn't bad, but somehow the flavors didn't come together. For a moment, it tasted almost diluted. It's certainly not that it lacked saltiness, though. The sliminess of the soba interfered with the texture. I thought thoroughly rinsing the boiled soba in water might improve it. The firmness of the soba, excess sliminess, and restrained flavor of the dipping sauce made it feel like a missed opportunity.
View on GoogleIf you're near Keio-Katakura Station in Hachioji and feel like having ・soba ・udon ・soba-shop curry ・large gyoza ・stir-fried vegetable set meal ・sukiyaki udon ・tendon ・katsudon ・oyakodon ・gyudon ・tendon I recommend “尾張屋(おわりや)”. Closed on Thursdays, and apparently open continuously from 11:00〜19:30. Cash only, with parking available. 【Location from landmarks】 About a 5-minute walk from Keio-Katakura Station. Exit the ticket gates at Keio-Katakura Station, turn right onto Route 16 running in front of you, and walk to “Katakuramachi Intersection,” where there's a Seven-Eleven. Cross the road and turn right. Walk a while and you'll see “角喜鮨” on your left. Continue past it a little farther and “尾張屋” is on your left. There's parking beside the restaurant too. 【Reservations】 Reservations are available. 【Restaurant features】 An ordinary long-established soba restaurant. All seating is nonsmoking, and the older man is sometimes out making deliveries. 【Staff】 A homey atmosphere. 【Impressions of food・drinks】 The food budget is around a thousand yen per person, so you get what you pay for, and personally I think everything is tasty. I practically go here for the large gyoza. I order 2 plates, then have soba, ramen, or curry depending on my mood. Thank you as always!
View on GoogleArrived at 11:20 They were still getting the interior ready The water was lukewarm Katsudon set (zaru soba) The soba cooking water was clear and had no aroma—maybe because I was the first customer after opening? Disappointing The soba itself didn't have much aroma coming through either Hard to tell whether it was firm or just chewy The katsudon had thick meat and was delicious The person I went with had the fried horse mackerel set They said the rice was mushy and not to their taste
