Con: You have to speak Japanese. If it is not a problem for you, then, you are in for a delicious meal. Loved everything I had here and strongly recommend the Tororo Soba and their tempura.

A soba shop right next to Takaosanguchi Station. A shop that gives a very Showa retro atmosphere, and next door seems to be a souvenir shop. Maybe because I missed lunch time, the shop was empty. There are various types of soba, but I ordered the yam tempura soba set which seems to be the top recommendation. Payment seems to be cash only, and the system is to buy a meal ticket at the counter first. This soba was impressively delicious! The tempura was freshly fried and warm, and the soba broth was also a little sweet and tasty. Since I had just climbed the mountain, it was delicious and soaked into my stomach. There was also a large portion, but next time I want to order a large portion and enjoy it to the fullest. I will visit again when I come to Mt. Takao. ※The BGM was a bit loud, but that's part of the charm haha
