My favorite ramen to get whenever I got to Japan. Has also been my husband's favorite ramen place for years.
View on GoogleWhen I tried to enter the parking lot at 14:20, a car driven by a staff member was leaving, passing me without a greeting. There was a “Preparing” sign on the entrance door. Isn't the last order at 14:30 and closing at 15:00? If the last staff member left at 14:20, does that mean they had closed the shop by 14:00? The 餃子 and 濃厚味噌 are both incredibly delicious. The other miso dishes are fairly good. Precisely because the food tastes good, I wish they would do something about their haphazard opening hours. I also wish they would improve the cash-only payment situation.
View on GoogleThe prices are average. The parking lot is small. There are no wet towels, paper napkins, or tissues on the tables. I don't know what I'm supposed to wipe my mouth with. The fried rice has nicely separated grains, but if you eat it after the ramen, its flavor disappears. That's how strong the ramen tastes, or perhaps it numbs your taste buds; after eating half of it, I can't taste anything anymore. It barely feels like the soup clings to the noodles. They probably put a lot of thought into the miso flavor, but the koji aroma is so strong that I can't really make out the taste. The table seating is spacious if you go with a few people, so… it's a bit iffy for going alone.
View on GoogleThe 濃厚味噌ラーメン is indeed delicious. The チャーシュー was so tender that it got smaller while I was eating the noodles. The チャーシュー was delicious, but it was a shame that it lost its shape.
View on GoogleWe recently moved to the neighborhood, so the two of us visited for the first time. I'm writing this seriously, partly so the management can use it as feedback. I ordered the 味噌ネギチャーシュー麺, which is supposedly popular here, and チャーシュー丼, while my partner ordered とんこつラーメン. The taste was nothing but salt. No miso flavor. It was like salt 9, miso 1. The とんこつラーメン soup was salty too. No tonkotsu flavor. I'm not fussy about taste, but this was unacceptable. Also, the soup was lukewarm. I ordered 味玉, but it was a flavorless egg. Hmm... The チャーシュー丼 was particularly bad. There were 6, 7 bite-sized cubes of チャーシュー on the rice, but they were so tough it was like chewing rubber. Dry and hard, GOM of GOM. The two of us instinctively exchanged looks and gave a wry smile. The final straw was paying the bill. I brought over the bill, and they manually entered the amounts into a small calculator while looking at it. They charged around 5500円 for just two people. When I asked, “5500? Did we order that much!?” they recalculated. It was a little over 3000円. Come on, what kind of calculation error is that? We hadn't even ordered alcohol; didn't they think over 5000円 for two people was strange? Still entering everything manually these days... The food wasn't good, and on top of that there was a huge billing error. It was so unpleasant that I even suspected they might be deliberately miscalculating bills and pocketing the difference. If that isn't the case, they seriously ought to stop manually calculating bills on a small calculator while reading the items. On top of that, they didn't even give us a receipt after payment. When I requested one, it was just a list of incomprehensible item names, all “Department 1.” What is this? Even if I give them 1万 steps of leeway and assume the register was malfunctioning, they should at least say something to the customer. From a customer's perspective, with this receipt: • You can't prove what you ate • It can be rejected for expense reimbursement • It's difficult to check when making a complaint Their sales management is probably rough as well, and perhaps they aren't tracking sales by item either. It's been a long time since a restaurant visit made me feel this unpleasant of unpleasant. I rarely post reviews, but I'm deliberately posting this so it can help the management, staff, and anyone who might visit. I will absolutely never go back, but anyone who wants to take on the challenge, go ahead.
